Even though the movie was released in 2014, I believe that it is a timeless story that will always

be relevant. It is a story of how humans evolve faster through the help of technology, and what
you can really do with technology within your hands. I remember watching this movie for the
first time and being absolutely mind-blown by the potential implications of what was happening
in the story. It made me think about the future in a whole new light and I was hooked from
beginning to end. It was to be honest back then when I was merely a child, but now, it made me
really understand that this film, like many other film will leave you hanging around many
questions, unanswered in your mind.

In the 2014 film Transcendence, directed by Wally Pfister, the main character Dr. Will Caster
(Johnny Depp) is a scientist who is working on artificial intelligence (A.I.) and trying to create a
machine that can think and feel like a human. One night, while giving a presentation on his work,
he is shot by an anti-technology terrorist group. The bullet is laced with a radioactive substance
that will eventually kill him. However, before he dies, his wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and his
friend Max (Paul Bettany) upload his consciousness into a computer so that he can continue his
work.

The first time I watched Transcendence, It was pretty much okay. The movie is set in a future
where technology has advance to a point where humans can upload their consciousness to a
computer, essentially becoming immortal. The story follows a group of scientists who are
working on this technology, and the film explores the ethical implications of this technology. I
found the movie to be very thought-provoking and it really made me think about the potential of
technology.

I had the chance to watch the movie Transcendence last night and I must say that It really was a
basic movie. I was expecting a lot from this movie, but it didn't manage to off scale my reaction
to other movie films like this. Though I liked this one better than any other films I watched, It
still didn't exceed my love for other sci-fi movies.

Transcendence isn't a bad film, and it's certainly not the worst I've seen. I found the film to be
thought-provoking, with intriguing ideas and concepts about how humanity can maximize its
potential by becoming more than what it is now. The issue (as with all high-brow sci-fi films that
aim to educate and explore) is trying to find that balance that ties the entire concept together, and
I couldn't help but feel like this film squandered a good opportunity to do so.

Despite the good ideas, the plot is inconsistent. It has so many fantastic ideas but never manages
to grasp them coherently. A part of me wanted the film to explore whether one man should have
that much power to change the world, but it rushes through the plot points. In the end, you're left
with underdeveloped ideas and unexplored characters who do things for the sake of convenience.
The only saving grace of Transcendence is its attempt to explore the themes it attempted to
convey, but it could have been better than what we got.

Transcendence is appropriate when your disbelief is suspended and your expectations are
appropriately adjusted. By no means is it a bad film, and you can see the ambition, but you are
left feeling let down by what this film could have been. Overall this film is practically amazing,
its just that the information about the movie is not properly assessed.
