I have enjoyed having my Quiet Time over the last 27 years using the Word of Life QT journal. Every day, I read a passage and answer two questions. 1-What is the writer saying? That helps me to think about what I have been reading before I make the application to my life. What is being said? To whom was it written? What does it mean? Why was this necessary? These are some of the things I think about in answering the first question. 2-How can I apply this to my life? That is where I make the application. What would I change? How would I live differently? If Bible reading doesnt affect how I live and what I do, it makes little difference in my life. Michael & Christie 40 Days to Wedding

More than once I have teased Christie about waiting until she was 30 to get married. Well the day is here. She is 22 and she is getting married on July 16th to a young man attending Bible College and serving as a youth pastor in Fort Worth, Texas. Michael is a blessing and we have enjoyed getting to know him. I ask for you to pray for them. We have an enemy who would enjoy nothing more than destroying the friendship and fellowship they presently enjoy. We are all an enemy of a powerful foe simply because we are a friend of God. And we have chosen well. Our quiet time in Isaiah has repeatedly challenged us with this thought. To whom can you compare to our God? There is none that can stand up to the Living God. People pray to idols that can not even transport themselves. Idols can not even protect themselves less a worshipper. You figure it out. To whom can you liken God? Pray for us as Rod marries Michael and Christie on July 16th at The Chapel in Getzville at 1:30PM.

Jamie and I would like to thank you for your support, financially and prayerfully. It is a JOY to serve God by working with our staff in the Northeast and by serving local churches. God has been so faithful to us and many of you have been faithfully praying for us for 28+ years since we have been in the ministry, 22 years with Word of Life. THANK YOU for standing with us. For those of you who support us, we are so grateful to see your support every month. What a blessing you are to us!!! People often ask where we are at financially. Jamie and I need to raise around $500 a month. Just a year ago, we were $2,000 short per month. Isnt God great? We are almost there. Ten individuals at $50 per month would bring us to full support. We are praising God!
