1. Removing Unnecessary Content from Delivered BW Content
In your BW client, launch transaction SE38 and execute the report /CPD/RSZDELETE provided
with SAP Note 2443591. This is required to prevent errors during activation of the BW content
bundle.
Please note that this step is valid only for CPM_S4H 200 SP00 and SP01.

2. Namespace Settings for Project Cost and Revenue Planning

In your BW client, launch transaction SE06 and set the namespaces /B364/ and /B365/ to
Modifiable.

3. Mapping of HANA Views to CDS SQL Views

Implement SAP Note 2725814 to map the HANA views with CDS views. This step is valid from
S/4HANA 1809 FPS01.

4. Implement Currency Translation Type (In BW Client)

Install /CPD/FCUR currency translation type manually from BW content with the following
settings:

• Grouping: Only Necessary Objects

• Collection Mode: Start Manual Collection
Follow these steps to install the object:
1. Launch transaction RSA1 and choose BI Content > Object Types.

2. Navigate to Currency Translation Type > Select Objects and double-click /CPD/FCUR.

3. Choose Transfer Selections > Install > Install.

4. Implement SAP Note 2437619 to resolve currency translation type error. This step is
valid only for CPM_S4H 200 SP00).

5. Installation and Activation of BI Content (in BW Client)

Follow these steps:
1. Execute transaction BSANLY_BI_ACTIVATION in the BW client.

2. Double-click on content bundle /CPD/PFP_BI_CONTENT_BUNDLE.

3. In the Activate Content Bundle screen, maintain the following settings:

A. RFC Destination for Content Objects: Choose RFC Mapping. Using the input help
(F4), choose the BW client as the RFC destination for Dialog RFC Connection and
Background RFC Connection. After that, select the BW client for RFC Destination for
Content Objects.

B. Source System for DataSource Replication: Choose the current logon client.

C. Treatment of Already Active Content Objects: Choose Automatic if you want the
system to decide the type of activation for each content object, automatically.
4. Choose the Activate button and then confirm activation in the dialog box.

5. When the system prompts you for the source system, select your source system.
6. A success message is displayed once the activation is successful.
7. Choose Show Log to view a log of the installation.

6. Number Range Maintenance for Financial Plan ID (in BW

Client)
Follow these steps:
1. Launch transaction SNRO, enter the object name /CPD/FPOID, and choose Interval Editing.
2. Edit the intervals for the number range object and enter the number '01' and the range as
'00000001' to '99999999'.

3. Save the entry.

7. Settings for Analysis Office

Enable planning group as described in SAP Note 2325423.

8. Settings to Call Function Modules from Formula-Based

Planning Functions (in BW Client)
Note that this step is valid only until CPM_S4H 200 SP01.
In the database table RSPLF_FDIR, make an entry for the following function modules:
• /CPD/PFP_GET_SKF
• OIUP_SPLIT_DATE_ADD_ONE_MONTH
• OIUP_SPLIT_DATE_SUB_ONE_MONTH
Follow these steps to maintain new entries:
1. Launch transaction SE11.
2. Select Database table and enter RSPLF_FDIR.
3. On the Utilities menu, choose Table Contents > Create Entries > New Entries.
4. Enter the above-mentioned function modules.
5. Save the entries.

9. Set Up Reporting Based on Cost Element / Activity Types

Report /CPD/PFP_CREATE_COSTELM_ACTTYP enables the determination of cost elements
or activity types for financial plan line items. If you require reporting based on cost elements or
activity types, then you must schedule this report as a periodic job. This can be done in the main
client, using transaction SE38.

10. Master Data for Employees

This step is valid only for CPM_S4H release.
In the main client, execute program /CPD/PFP_CREATE_RES_MSTER_DATA (with Create
Initial Master Data option) to update the initial record for master data of employees
(/CPD/FPERID). This can be done using transaction SE38.
Recommendation:
Schedule the execution of program /CPD/PFP_CREATE_RES_MSTER_DATA by choosing the
checkbox Create Employee Master Data as a background job based on the real-time
requirement for the availability of employee master data.

11. Integration with SAP Multiresource Scheduling (MRS)

If you use SAP Multiresource Scheduling along with Commercial Project Management, then use
the following programs:

1. In the CPM/ERP production client, execute program /CPD/PFP_CREAT_PROFILE_DATA

to extract master data for profile (/CPD/FPROFILE). You must execute this program when
you require MRS profiles to be updated in Commercial Project Management using
transaction SE38.

2. In the CPM/ERP production client, execute program /CPD/PFP_SET_MRS_STAFFED_QTY

to update staffed quantity from the MRS system into the Commercial Project Management
system. This program can be scheduled periodically to update the staffed quantity in the
Commercial Project Management system based on your requirements. This can be done
using transaction SE38.

12. Integration with SAP Portfolio and Project Management

If you use SAP Portfolio and Project Management along with Commercial Project Management,
refer to SAP Note 2396882.

13. Additional Information

13.1. Currency Exchange Rates at Financial Plan Level

If you to use project specific (maintained within financial plan) exchange rates, refer to SAP
Note 2363905.

13.2. Consistency Report for Planning Data

If structure elements are deleted in the source system (for example, if a WBS element for which
planning was performed in Project Cost and Revenue Planning is deleted in Project System),
then the planned line items in Project Cost and Revenue Planning corresponding to the deleted
object can also be deleted.
In the ERP/CPM production client use report /CPD/PFP_MAINTAIN_CONSISTENCY to delete
from Project Cost and Revenue Planning, planned line items that correspond to such deleted
structure elements. This program can be scheduled as a weekly job to regularly delete such
obsolete data.
To comply with provisions of data protection and privacy, in the ERP/CPM production client, use
the report /CPD/PFP_EMP_DATA_CONSISTENCY. This report deletes all planned data from
the planning InfoCube /CPD/PFP_R01, related to an employee that no longer exists, but for
whom planning data exists in the InfoCube.

13.3. Performance and Data Volume Management

Planning data is stored in a real-time InfoCube. It is important to efficiently manage the data
volume of the InfoCube to optimize the performance of Project Cost and Revenue Planning. For
details about managing the data volume of the InfoCube, see SAP Note 1980948.
