To the person who have experienced discrimination throughout their life and felt the feeling of
separation from the society because of their uniqueness and differences from the norms and walking
with a color behind, this letter is for you. I just want to freely express my deepest apologies and how
disheartened I am from the things you have endured from our society, from the feelings of isolation,
consistently deprived of your human rights and freedom because of our culture’s conservatism biblical
knowledge and religious beliefs.

All my life, even though I am not part of your community, I’ve heard a lot of judgements, hurtful
and negatives comments, and not just some but most people treated you like a garbage without
knowing what you’re going through. The reason why I want to convey this way of thinking is that this
generation are now increasingly expressing who they truly are. Trying to tell people that those who are
part of the LGBTQA+ community should be respected and accepted not just tolerated. Therefore, we
must spread the word and educate those with narrow minds. Our fellow Filipinos who are member of
the rainbow community have sacrificed blood and tears for them to fully express their identity and their
true colors. We should let them be. We should let them love as God is the symbol of LOVE

We do really appreciate you for fighting for your rights in this world. This world is not choosing
what kind of gender you have, we are in the free world, where you can be yourself and can showcase the
true kind. we would like to say that in this generation a lot of people will welcome you, maybe there are
some who will not. But on that note, we would like to encourage you. Be the person who you think that
you will be better. Be the person who you truly love. And be the person who you truly are. In this way
nothing’s going to stop you. I would like to end this essay/apology letter with the quote "spread your
wings, and let your spirit roar".
