THE FUTURE

future. In the following examples, there is no difference in meaning.
Examples:
SCIENTISTS WILL / ARE GOING TO FIND A CURE FOR CANCER.

MORE AND MORE PEOPLE WILL / ARE GOING TO LIVE IN APARTMENTS
IN THE FUTURE.

GEORGE WILL / IS GOING TO LIKE THE PRESENT YOU BOUGHT FOR HIM.

You can use “Definitely”, “Probably” and “Maybe” in future predictions.

My brother will definitely pass the TOEFL exam. (100%)

He definitely won’t get the highest score.

My friend, Liza will probably get a good job after graduation. (90%)
She probably won’t be able to live on her own soon.

Maybe my father will continue working after he turns 65. (50%)
Maybe he won’t live with his children because he’s very independent.
