Madame Théon, born in the mists of the North, and who loved the
qualities psychic problems of the sensitive children of Ireland, had
suffered from her childhood of how the beliefs, codes and customs
restricted the possibilities of love, intelligence and life. When she was
able to deepen the authentic Tradition, the image that the sects and
the politics had traced out seemed to her inadmissible. Given that the
initiatory circles from which Max Théon came always regard with
indifference or sympathy the doctrines which more or less distort their
teachings, it is probable that he must be attributed to the calm and
gentle thoughts of Mrs. Théon certain combative, mocking and
vehement aspects of cosmic exegesis. That who was all compassion
towards individuals did not spare the false beliefs, applying this
beautiful definition of tolerance: respect for people in the struggle of
ideas. The goal of hierarchical initiation through the ages is "the
supremacy and the infinitude of the causeless Cause and the restitution
of earth to man, of which it is, by divine order, the inheritance and the
foyer. Cosmic Philosophy proposes to dismantle to man psycho-
intellectual what is the true object and purpose of life, and how far
human capacities can be developed, to remind the psycho-intellectual
man that he is of divine origin, that he bears divinity within himself, and
that he has the mission of manifesting it."
She also wishes to contribute to: "pulling the unevolved collective man
of the gross state in which it vegetates and work to restore the
primitive tradition, in order to unite science and theology on a low
intellectual". Because a true intellectual who does not have the chance
to meet initiation, normally runs the risk of becoming epicurean, said
the Master.
Max Théon sympathized with any movement of human emancipation,
national or social, and his heart beat for all the oppressed, but above all
for the "sensitives" whose needs the Company ignores and capacities
and which, under better conditions, would be so valuable for collective
progress. Those who have lived in the atmosphere of Tlemcen have
kept an inexhaustible memory of it. the master loved contribute to the
repair work of his residence, as a mason, painter or locksmith, and to
the cultivation of fruit trees and rosebushes in his garden which he
skilfully grafted. The Master, who sought out the sensitives, considered
them numerous among the artists and enjoyed their company. He
practiced singing and other arts himself.
Apart from that, the European translations are absolutely
imperfect because of the imperfect knowledge of the translators at
with regard to Asian languages, their letters and above all their
spirit. So what is only the key to a mystery, the sign or the
symbol of a truth, is interpreted according to the imagination of the
translator who does not know, with few exceptions, and cannot
know, the meaning of the sign or symbol, and is found in the
need to write something to fill in the gaps that
would exist in his translation.

The Master says that the Cosmic Movement was founded at the request of Mrs.
Théon and that it was her who had the whole initiative: "Our
beloved queen spent her life putting dormant intelligence into
activity as the sun's rays help to germinate all the forces
latent".
In the written work transmitted by the initiators of the Philosophy
Cosmic, we can distinguish several categories of works: some
which they did not sign and which they gave as coming from a
ancient source, oral or manuscript; on the other hand comments
and legends that they attributed to themselves more personally.

The unpublished commentary on the Pentateuch must have been written first, then
the Books of the Sixth Epoch, long before the published works.
It was under the name of Aïa Aziz that Max Théon directed the Revue Cosmique.
You have to remember that he was then in Tlemcen and had an activity
modest, giving some advice, doing, it is said, cures
among the townspeople.

From age to age, fragments of the oral tradition were written down. This is
to this phenomenon which the manifestation of cosmic works obeys. The
cosmic texts claim that four men on earth carry
always the pure tradition, and that they sometimes meet to
compare their deposits.
Thanks to Madame Théon, all the science of the occult that the

clairvoyance, forecasting, inspiration or mediumship became their
daily achievements.
