Silver Spark Apparel Ltd (SSAL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond Ltd (RL) that
manufactures suits, jackets and formal trousers catering largely to the export markets.
SSAL has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Doddaballapur (near Bengaluru), which
has a capacity to produce 18 lakh jackets and suits, and 20 lakh trousers annually.
Although primarily an exporter, SSAL also does job-work for Raymond Group companies.

This plant is mainly doing job work for SSAL. On August 10, 2016, SSAL via its wholly owned
subsidiary Silver Spark Middle East (FZE) incorporated wholly owned subsidiary, Silver Spark
Ethiopia PLC, Ethiopia, Africa, for manufacturing of jackets and trousers with a capacity of 24
lakh pieces annually. Furthermore, on December 10, 2019 SSAL entered into a Business
Transfer Arrangement with Group company Celebrations Apparel Limited (CAL)(CARE
BBB/CARE A3; Credit watch with developing implication) under which CAL has agreed to
sell and transfer its garmenting business on Slump Sale basis.
