Empathize– This stage requires you to keep aside your assumptions and gain an empathetic
view of the problem at hand.

EXPLANATION

- The first stages of Design Thinking Process is empathized, sa madaling salita you are putting
yourself into costumers shoes, kailangan mo e immerse ang sarili mo sa world ni users and
once andoon kana you need to think of a solution na hindi lang fit sa needs ni users but will
also delight them. Immersing yourself into costumer’s world mas maiintindihan mo kung
ano ba ng kailangan nila.
- Example of on how you will empathize is through observing real-life scenarios or interview
and the next stage is;

2. Define – All the information gather during the first stage is compiled and assess to identify the
main problem that needs to be solve.

EXPLANATION

- After empathizing to the user you now know what they think and have an idea about what
they need and after that pagsasama-samahin mo na lahat ng information na nakalap mo to
create point of view of the users and dito narin papasok ang non-obvious insights and that is
the second stage which is define.
3. Ideate – In this stage, the design thinkers use their understanding of the problem statement that
come up with some out-of-the box ideas to tackle the problem hand.

EXPLANATION

- After we define the problem statement we are now ready to ideate, we all know that
innovation is rarely born in isolation so in this stage mahalaga ang collaboration because this
will include brainstorming, brainstorm solution is needed. Mag brainstorm and will come up
ng creative solution w/ the users goal in mind and after mo mag ideate you can now
proceed in making prototype;

EXPLANATION

4. Prototype – in this experimental phase, the team`s objective is to find the best possible
solutions by generating several-down and inexpensive version of the product or the service.
- After brainstorming or ideate your will get together para bumuo ng model and
representation ng ideya na nabuo nila during the Ideate stage o during their brainstorming.
Also during this stage, they will build an MVP or Minimum Valuable Product of ideas sa
pinaka maikling oras na maari nilang magawa and then they will take those prototypes back
to the costumers and ask their feedback or what they think and once they made a prototype
it’s time for the team to put their ideas into test;

EXPLANATION

5. Test- Design Thinkers use an iterative process to test the best solutions identified in stages 4 and
refine them further to achieve the best possible results.
 - In this stage the review and revision for flaws will happen and nag iinvolve rin ng maraming
tao for feedback upang makagawa ng revision.

NOTE: This is just a bonus example, actually all the stages will be mention dito sa example na ginawa ko
and I think it will be better to mention or read it if mag re-report ka para mas malinawan about sa 5
stages.

EXAMPLE SOLUTION:

Si aleng marites ay gusto ng unique na design na engaging sa mga costumer para maiba
sila sa mga ka kompetensya nya na store o mga katabing store.

Following the 5 stages anong gagawin mo?

Una mag EMPATHIZE ka sa mga costumer ang gagawin mo ay mag interview ka sa mga
costumer ni aling marites at mag observe rin sa kalapit na tindahan, ngayon nalaman mo na ang gusto
ng mga costumer ay mas maramdaman nila na connected sila sa tindahan o sa supplier ng mga paninda
ni aling marites, doon palang nagawa mon a ang 2 nd stage which is DEFINE. Nalaman mo na kung ano
ang gusto nila the next thing you will do is to brainstorm with your team para maka-isip ng idea
considering na ang gusto ng mga customer is to have a direct connection sa supplier ng mga paninda ni
aleng Marites, and through that nakarating kana sa 3 rd step na IDEATE. After nyo mag usap usap
nakabuo na kayo ng ideya at ang ideya niyo at maglagay kayo ng café vending machine sa tindahan ni
aleng marites na kung saan ang baso ay may makikita ng costumer yung details about sa farm maging sa
mga halaman na kape and through that nakagawa na kayo ng model or the 4 th stage which is the
PROTOTYPE and after that ilalagay nyo na si café vending machine sa tindahan ni Aleng Marites for the
5th stage which is the TEST
