Post-Assessment_Week 8

In a proposed mastery approach to instruction, the teacher:

a. presents the lesson to the whole class

b. assesses if learners attained mastery of the lesson
c. provides enrichment activities with the use of media technology
d. re-mediates the non-mastery student
e. moves on to the next lesson

Answer the following questions:

1. How is the mastery approach better than the traditional one?

 The mastery approach to curriculum is superior to the traditional method of curriculum because mastery
approach is the result or end product of the Constructivism learning theory, which states that humans
generate knowledge and meaning from their self-activity and look forward to mastery of that activity as
the end process of learning; thus, mastery approach emphasizes students' activity through the use of
technology in their learning; however, traditional method of curriculum emphasizes students' activity
through the use of technology in their learning.
2. The mastery approach appears time-consuming and difficult. Do you believe practice and experience can
overcome these difficulties?
 The students must be familiar with four elements in order to build mastery of learning activities via the
use of technology: "Effort, Errors, Practice, and Knowledge." The learners' effort is the actualization of
their activity or other skillful learning models through the use of technology. As they continue to develop
or manage the activity, they will uncover errors, which may result in a significant amount of time being
wasted and difficulties among the students. These errors can be addressed with the help of the
teacher. To overcome the challenges and reduce time waste, the teacher should provide practice and
exercise. The learners' knowledge is acquired through practicing and executing their activities.

3. How can technology help in enrichment activities?

Technology and the internet can assist learners enrich their activities in the following ways:
 The internet, through technology, gives factual and connected information.
 New teaching approaches are being introduced through technology.
 Technology allows students to get the most out of their studies.
 The e-learning community is conceptualized through technology.
 Technology provides a rich learning environment.
 Technology helps students to achieve their full potential.
 Technology as a tool for developing innovative learning capabilities
 Technology that supports learning excellence

4. Should the effective use of media be also assessed by the teacher? Why?
 The teacher's effectiveness in using technology and other media should be evaluated since, despite the
rise of high-tech gadgets in the classroom, there is no substitute for our very own HUMAN TEACHERS,
who have sentiments and emotions that can help and promote learning. The teacher is the active
director of the learning climax's scenery. The teacher will lead and teach the students proper and
advanced skills for manipulating and operating technology, which is an important part of modern man's
education. There is no learning without the teacher.
