INSTRUCTIONS: Based on the animation movie chosen, write a review in NOT MORE
THAN 350 WORDS.

‘The Good Dinosaur’ is an animated movie produced by Denise Ream and

directed by Peter Sohn. This movie was released on 25th November 2015 in
United States under kids and family genre. This movie is filled with amazing
characters which a young apatosaurus, Arlo, and a feral child named Spot being
the lead characters. The rest are Henry, Ida, Libby and Buck along with a few
more minor characters. The Good Dinosaur is one of the best movies for its deep
message and lesson about life. This movie is worth watching with all family
members because its character conflicts and storyline are not too complex to
understand.

‘The Good Dinosaur’ is about a corn farmer’s family that lives in Clawtooth
Mountain. All of them diligently work on the farm. However, Arlo has trouble
adjusting to farm life because of coward and clumsy in himself. To overcome
Arlo’s timid nature, his dad, Henry puts him in charge of guarding their silo
against an invasion of the critter named Spot. Long story short, Arlo ends up
getting himself into a world of trouble that he never expected. The theme of
overcoming fear shows us the importance of learning to live with fear. Be
confident and believe in yourself is the highlighted message in this movie which
would appeal to a wide audience.

The story begins when Arlo feels challenged to see his successful siblings are
allowed to make their mark on the family’s corn silo. To overcome it, Arlo was
given a task by Henry to take care of their silo. Arlo managed to capture Spot but
due to pity, he let him go. Disappointed, Henry forces Arlo to chase Spot. The
chase scene ended with Henry’s death when he had to sacrifice himself to save
Arlo from the flash flood. Since then, Arlo blames Spot and determined to chase
and attack Spot until both of them fell into a river. After being washed downriver
by a rainstorm, Arlo finds himself lost far from home. Good fortune shines when
he meets Spot who offers his help and friendship. After the storm resigned, a
band of pterodactyls came to hunt them. Arlo and Spot run away and get refuge
from a group of T-Rexes, Butch, Nash and Ramsey. In return, Arlo and Spot help
them to locate a herd of longhorns they had lost. After the mission completed,
they help to lead Arlo and Spot toward their homeland. After a long adventures
journey, they arrive at their home safely. Finally, Arlo was allowed to make his
mark on the silo between the print of his mother and father.

Honestly, I love this movie. I was impressed how Arlo gets all the tougher
throughout the journey with Spot. Its breaks my heart that Arlo lost his dad but it
made me feel much better when he started warming up to Spot and accepting his
friendship. You need to watch this movie! Arlo will show you that the world may
seem kind of scary at first but in the end, you will see that with a friend right by
your side anything is possible. Overall,4.5 out of 5 stars. Check this movie out if it
piques your interest!
