==Stats==

Roll 3D6*5 for STR, DEX, CON, APP, POW and LUCK
Roll 5*(2D6+6) for SIZ, INT, EDU
- ++OPTION 1++ Or spend 460 points among the 9 (min 15, max 90 for each).
- ++OPTION 2++ Or assign 40, 50, 50, 50, 60, 60, 70, 80

Age: Choose one to alter some stats. Any above "young" allow for EDU improvement
rolls: if you roll over EDU on your EDU, increase EDU by 1D10

Damage bonus: Add STR and SIZ together, and consult the chart on page 33 to
determine bonus damage for melee attacks (usually zero).

Hit points: (CON + SIZ)/10, rounded down.

MOV:
- 7 if DEX<SIZ and STR<SIZ
- 8 if DEX<SIZ or STR<SIZ, OR if DEX=SIZ=STR
- 9 if DEX>SIZ and STR>SIZ

==Skills==
Pick a job- this lists your professional skills, and how many professional skill
points you get to spend on them.
++OPTION++ if you assigned standard array (option 2) to attributes, instead assign
70, 60, 60, 50, 50, 50, 40, 40, 40 to your professional skills and Credit Rating
(if the job's listed Credit Rating is below 40, just take that one instead of one
of the 40s).

Next, you get to spend INT*2 skill points on Personal Interests- these are skills
you do NOT get from your profession.
++OPTION++ if you assigned standard array (option 2), instead pick four skills,
and add 20 to the base value for each.

Finally, your job determines your Credit Rating, which in turn determines your;
- Cash; how much cash money your character has in total (not necessarily on them)
- Assets; how much money you have tied up in houses, stock etc.
- Spending Level; how much money you can spend each day without having to dig into
your cash or assets (within reason! Call of Cthulhu is not about spending as much
money as possible!).

==Backstory==
Choose (or roll) for the following;

- Personal description
- Ideology
- Significant people (and why they are significant)
- Meaningful Locations
- Treasured Possessions
- Trait

One of these is your Key Background Connection, which can aid an investigator in
regaining Sanity points. The Keeper may do as they wish with the other entries, but
the KBC cannot be destroyed, killed or taken away without the player getting a
chance to save it (involving dice rolls).

==Equipment==
Just pick a few notable items your character would have, keeping your Credit Rating
in mind.
