11. a). solve the IPP using Gomory’s cutting plane algorithm,

14. a). A manufacturer has to supply 12000 units of a product per year to his customer. The demand is
fixed and known and the shortage cost is assumed to be infinite. The inventory holding cost is Rs.0.20
per unit per month and the setup cost per run is Rs.350. Determine (i) the optimum run size qo (ii)
Optimum scheduling period to (iii) minimum total expected yearly cost (Or)
b). Calculate the various parameters for putting an item with following data on E.O.Q system.
Annual consumption = 12000units at the cost of Rs.7.50 per unit, setup cost = Rs.6.00 and inventory
holding cost = Rs.0.12 Per unit, Normal lead time = 15 days and maximum lead time 20 days.
15. a). Solve the NLPP. 𝑀𝑎𝑥 𝑧 = 4𝑥1 + 6𝑥2 − 2𝑥12 − 2𝑥1 𝑥2 − 2𝑥22

as given below.

19. A particular item has a demand of 9000 units/year. The cost of one procurement is Rs.100 and the
holding cost per unit is Rs.2.40 per year. The replacement is instaneous and no shortages are allowed.
Determine, (i) The economic lot size (ii) The number of orders per year (iii) The time between orders
(iv) the total cost per year if the cost of one unit is Rs.1.
