A Stong Woman

Life was exceptional for Zainah living in Jordan with her whole family; till she had to

move her life altercations. Growing up family affected her in positive ways, and negative with

disagreements. Zainah is a Muslim woman; in a Muslim family trying to further her career. She

had to go through hardships with her family, and these challenging times impacted her to have a

better future. The struggle for change in her life with beliefs and family made her want to be a

strong woman jobholder.

Jordan is in the Middle East and borders Syria, a dangerous area with high murder rates.

Zainah lived there for years at her grandparents' house. She has 5 brothers, and she lives with her

grandparents and her parents. Having brothers can be a lot of stress, but Zainah loves them and

has a great relationship with everyone. She also has an adoring relationship with her parents and

grandparents, if there is an issue, they resolve it well. Unfortunately, some family beliefs make

her future goal difficult.

Practicing Muslim beliefs is a significant part of her life. “Muslims are monotheistic and

worship one, all-knowing God, who in Arabic is known as Allah. Followers of Islam aim to live

a life of complete submission to Allah. They believe that nothing can happen without Allah's

permission, but humans have free will.” Having Muslim beliefs is amazing for her, but there is

one issue. In Muslim families, it is common for a woman to go to college, but not enter the job

field. Zainah wants to further her career in graphic design and work from home, unfortunately,

her family disapproves of her goal. These events are making her life tense; the most stressful

event she has been through was the passing of her loved ones.

The death of her grandparents due to cancer had a huge mental toll on Zainah. As soon as

she could blink her eyes; many people and family members had passed away from cancer. This

was the hardest time of her life; she cannot comprehend how someone so close can be gone so

fast. These deaths worried her; she wondered; who else she could lose due to cancer in the

family. After she processed the loss of life, all she wanted was to help people. She wanted to

lend a hand to others by becoming a dentist, but that career due to region and family was

something she could not do. This made her future goals difficult to figure out; leading her

parents and Zainah to have a disagreement.

Zainah is studying at UC Blue Ash to become a graphic designer. She wants to start her

own online business while working at home. In the back of her head; she is still trying to let go

of her dentist dream. Zainah's family owns a business; she wants to make designs for their

business. Even though her family and realign disagree with the woman working; she is

passionate to create her own income. Her passion for having a career; is making a profound

change in her family and family beliefs; she is a strong woman for going up against these

reasons.

The alter in her life with beliefs, family, and loss makes her strong. She has struggles

still, but she is on a great path to facing them. Zainah leaving her home at an early age and losing

many family members made her a strong person. Family conflict with people she loves makes it

hard to express her career dreams. Zainah's making a big advance for the woman of the Muslim

community and their family.
