Checklist for presentations:

The presentation should be a total of 5 minutes long. All team members are expected
to present some part of the slides. You will need to practice, to be sure your presentation is
suitable duration as you will be stopped after the time limit, to allow for other presenters,
and you need to ensure you cover the main topics. Be ready for some questions following
your presentation. Below are the main topics that should be covered, but you are welcome
to add more, if time allows. The order of the slides is up to you.

Intro of founders
Description of Product / service:
(e.g., layout, process plans, stakeholders, etc)
Company background:
(e.g. Mission, Vision, Values, Goals, Objectives, Metrics)
SWOT (including what you plan to do about these elements)
Human Resource Management
Marketing

Mark:
The presentations are for 15% of the final mark. Marks will be based on the following
criteria:

5 Points: Understanding and applying lecture themes e.g., use of SWOT, difference vision vs.
mission, use of metrics, etc. You are expected to have amended mistakes made in tasks from
seminars, rather than repeat them!
5 Points: Originality and creativity (e.g., clarity of artwork (charts, graphs), novel ideas,
approaches in your business idea and presentation)
5 Points: Organization of content and oral presentation. Note: you are expected to come
prepared, i.e., knowing who will speak, what they will say and avoid reading of a paper at all
costs.

Format:
You can present in PowerPoint, although your presentation may be more vivid with other
options, such as Prezi – a Hungarian entrepreneurship that is now a global company
(prezi.com). Of course, there are plenty of other alternatives as well. It is up to you.

Important:
As time is limited during the presentation period, ensure your presentation is ready on your
USB / pen drive or you have an easily accessible link for your presentations. Make sure you
arrive early for the seminar, so that you can set up your presentation on the PC and save
yourself any discomfort later.

Some basic tips on preparing presentations:

Don’t use a lot of a text in your slides, rather use as few words as possible on each slide.
Do use graphics to support your points, but don’t use very detailed images and fonts that
make it hard to follow / read.
Think of your audience throughout planning the presentation and that they know nothing
about your idea and the work you’ve done. Ask yourself: Is this clear? Could it be
misunderstood? Is this the most interesting way to present this info?
In a nutshell: KEEP IT SIMPLE AND CLEAR!
Presentation schedule – take note of your date for your presentation. As you can
see it is pretty full and if you miss your occasion, there is a good chance you won’t have the
opportunity in the following week.
