DEVELOPMENT

V. RATIONALE:

There are several challenges that have risen in modern life. One of the difficulties is concerning
Gender Roles, which should be prioritized in order to nurture stronger relationships and a more productive
community.

Any individual's position should not be based on their preferred gender. As a result, collaborative
thoughts of both genders may bring out the best if chances are provided equally.

Through the GAD Focal Point System (GFPS), Bayabas ES & Lipit IS, the cluster School’s intends
to expands the understanding, and awareness of the staffs, students, and stakeholders on Gender and
Development (GAD) programs and activities for the current School Year 2021–2022. The school is
consistent in its efforts to promote gender-responsive basic education in the Schools Division of Aurora.

The school will be able to support the objectives of the GAD program and activities through the
creation of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, as well as by increasing the reach
and influence of the activities and packaging their highlights and key takeaways across a variety of media
and platforms.

The GAD focal persons of Bayabas Elementary School & Lipit Integrated School are
conceptualizing a three-day training to further assist the promotion of gender equality and to take part in the
project. Participants will receive training on how to develop a variety of Information, Education, and
Communication (IEC) resources for promoting gender and development (GAD).

VI. OBJECTIVE/S:
This training aims:
a. Improve teachers’ knowledge on preparing IEC materials
b. Develop IEC materials for parents, pupils, teaching and non teaching, and other stakeholders to
improve awareness of the GAD concept, the MCW, and other related laws;
c. Improve teaching and non teaching mental health through the GAD IEC materials and activities

VII. METHODOLOGY
1. Lecture/Discussions
The training will be delivered via informative discussions, lectures, and multimedia
instruction.
2. Workshop
Following the completion of each topic, participants will apply their knowledge by
creating/designing their IEC materials and submitting the assigned tasks to the resource
speakers or facilitators.
3. Feedback and critiquing
The resource speakers and facilitators will critique/evaluate the outputs and provide
feedback to the participants in order for them to acquire and internalize more leanings that
will be implemented over time.

VIII. PARTICIPANTS
The 12 teaching personnel and 2 non-teaching employees will attend the three -day training
course. There will be 14 participants in all.

XI. MONITORING AND EVALUATION


Throughout the training workshop, the GAD focal person and the school head will supervise,
observe, and document the essential progress made by the participants. The overall results of this training
will be documented and communicated to the appropriate offices/people.
The IEC materials will be printed and distributed to teachers, pupils and parents.
