Encouraging efficiency and effectiveness in government, transparency will
strengthen our democracy. Transparency in government is a good idea. Transparency encourages accountability and informs the public about what their government is doing. The federal government's collection of information is a valuable resource for the country. A key component of democratic governance is the election process.Elections give citizens the opportunity to choose their leaders and hold them responsible for their actions while in office. Accountability can be harmed by elected officials who do not care if they are reelected or by a party or coalition that is so dominant that voters have little to no choice among alternative candidates, parties, or policies due to historical factors or other factors. However, the ability to maintain control over leaders by requiring them to participate in regular elections helps to address the issue of leadership succession and thereby supports the survival of democracy Political parties are thought to share some fundamental characteristics, they have power over the government, a solid base of support from the general public, and they establish internal controls for managing donations, information, and nominations. Here in the Philippines, in terms of responsiveness to some concerns, the government is not that responsive. That’s why many Filipinos are criticizing our government. In a political system, the elected or chosen body that enacts laws for a state is known as the "legislature." The three main functions of legislatures are to represent the interests of the people, pass sound legislation, and oversee the executive branch of government.Citizens anticipate accountability and openness from public employees. Public trust depends on and is supported by public ethics and accountability. They serve as the foundation for both development and good governance.
