Democracy is built on the foundation of elections. Humans have the right to vote
and stand for election to select better government officials and leaders who will
lead our nations in the right direction. Leaders who represent us ought to honour
our votes, recognize our need to express our opinions, and grant us the right to
information freedom.

Parties and politics interest me. So I have been keeping an eye on the Latin
America Section of BBC News for news related to this topic. Human rights in
elections are essential to me.

We can see in this news that people didn't think they would lose because another
candidate won the election. But, on the other hand, according to human rights,
everyone has the right to vote without fear of violence.
