Reward

• This refers to one person's ability to compensate another for compliance. It is simply the power of a
manager to give some type of reward to his/her employee to influence the employee to act. This reward
may be done through giving certificates, a promotion, bonuses, raises, extra time off from work, etc.

Ex:

One of your team members has saved the company with a significant amount of money, spending 2
weeks to process. As a manager of the company, you decided to reward him with a trip to abroad for 3
days. He smiles and shyly accepts your offer. You feel good because you rewarded his efforts and he
seemed to be happy about the recognition of him.
