BK1: Long Term Career Goals

How do you see yourself doing after graduation? What are your long-term career
goals?
What do I see myself doing when I get out of college? After college, there are a lot of things that I want
to explore, and I have many dreams and goals in my life that I want to pursue. But especially of course I
will take a board exam on CPA. The college has many challenges, nonetheless, I hear some people say
that our age group should appreciate this period of our lives, which makes me wonder “why?”, “I’m
curious as to what makes this moment so special”. I’m looking forward to starting my profession after
graduation. College is an important step to all high school students, college is a significant step since it
provides an opportunity to study, a unique experience, and a bright future. I was focused on graduating
and receiving my diploma before I entered college. But the big concern was, “what do I do after I
graduate?” I’ll share this one, I had in my mind something in the medical field because my family want
me to take that, but I didn’t pursue it in college course because I have a lot of “what if’s” in my mind so
that instead of med school I pursue my dream career which is accountancy.

My expectations after I graduate from college are that I see myself well educated and living my life to
the fullest with my family. It appears that now is the time to begin taking life seriously and making
responsible and informed decisions. Now is the time in my life when I must decide what I want to do
with my future and what will make me happy. My future ambitions include fantastic work and a loving
family that will support me in y good and bad times. My reason for taking this class is not that I love to
write but that I care about my future. I may not be the best accountancy student right now, but I know I
will eventually have to take this class. I’m hoping that this class will help me become a better
accountancy student over the semester. What motivates me is that I am the one who gets to choose my
future and, I want to have financial stability for my family after I graduate and to travel with my family. I
plan to get my master’s in accounting and take and pass the CPA exam. I hope to graduate from Far
Eastern University. After I pass the exam, I want to have my firm, or I will study again for law school to
become a CPA Lawyer. Everyone has a dream about the future. The picture coming to my mind about
my future is so fantastic. I dress up professionally and go to my own office in a big company. This dream
attracts me.

My long-term goal is to become a top executive officer. My future long-term career goal is to become a
part of the Youth government. But I have my life goals which are divided into two categories mid/short
term and long term. Mid/short term within two to five years, I plan on learning as much as I can about
starting and managing a business which is a Coffee/Bake Shop or Restaurant. I would also like to learn as
much as possible about finance and marketing, which I find to be two of the most interesting aspects of
the business. It is a wonderful, free feeling when you achieve a goal you have set for yourself.
