Topic: Establishment of a World Government

Position: IN FAVOR of Establishing a World Government

Global problems require global solutions, as they say. It is crucial to understand that there
are organizations operating now that support a one-world government in the age of globalization.
The United Nations acts as an unelected one-world government. The idea of a one-world
government would not require many restrictions, but it would be important to take the current
framework and make sure that it benefits all kinds of people, not just the elites, thus, the need for
a one-world government is highly needed. States cooperating to achieve a common objective have
grown to be a regular way to resolve issues between states. Only acting as an enforcer to make
sure that states do not break agreements, the one-world government would ensure compliance. In
this paper, I will give three main reasons why we need to have once central authority to manage
the world affairs.
1. Good for Economic and Cultural Progress
A centralized government is beneficial for both economic and cultural advancement. In a
global government, the central authority handles many common issues, saving the countries’
money. The creation of a single localized government promotes interstate trade and business. In
situations of scarcity, the consistent supply of requirements is guaranteed without significant
expense. To add, with more economic resources under one administration, the nation is better able
to withstand natural disasters like famines and droughts. The nation is capable of creating a good
economic plan, large dams, and prosperous businesses.
2. It gives security to smaller countries
Smaller nations like the Philippines could benefit in this type of arrangement since they are
unable to defend themselves independently and engage in costly diplomatic ties with other nations.
If they band together, they can also cut back on the cost of their defense. For instance, India was
unable to defend itself against powerful countries like Pakistan and China on its own, let alone
create political and cultural ties with other nations because no state had the economic resources to
cover all costs.
3. For Better Governance
To rule the world in the best way possible, to uphold its interests both at home and abroad, and
to guide it toward prosperity, we need a strong central government. Regardless of caste, religion,
or language, all country inhabitants should receive assistance from the government apparatus. A
specific religion or caste shouldn't be taken into account for the advantages alone. The citizen's
financial situation and educational level should be given more weight. Casteism was once required
for some tribes that lived in the country's forests and mountains in order to raise their standard of
living and put them on par with other citizens. Once their level of living is raised, that consideration
should be dropped.

A powerful world government is more likely to have a more effective legislative branch in
times of crisis, among many other benefits beyond those already mentioned. In the event of a
national emergency involving the armed forces, the economy, or the health, they are more likely
to move quickly. A strong national government can also promote more social, political, and
economic equality among its citizens. A strong federal government is also more likely to choose
foreign policy measures that are advantageous to the entire nation, as opposed to a strong state
government that put the interests of the state first. A strong national government can promote
harmony among the public and enhance sentiments of patriotism and national pride.
