Lower middle class

Definition
Lower middle class, also known as “middle class” in which is a subdivision of the greater middle
class.
The term “lower middle class” refers to the group of middle class households or individuals who
have not attained the status of the upper middle class associated with the higher realms of the
middle class.
The people in the Lower middle class
The lower middle class is consisting of individuals with slightly lower qualifications and blue-
job collars such as school teachers, managers, small business owners, nurse, driver and etc.
These individuals commonly have some college education or perhaps a Bachelor's degree and
earn a comfortable living.
A proper college education is very rare, and usually, qualification only consists of a primary
school education, which is still quite rare. This is because the lower-middle-class individuals are
often seen abandoning their education to find jobs, to make a living.
Due to a lack of educational qualification, the type of occupation that these people are offered
are also low-paying jobs, with no job security, which mostly consists of heavy physical labor.
Livelihood
The lower middle class is less privileged in terms of living conditions, with no stable life
security.

As the blue-collar jobs do not offer decent pay, the living standards of these individuals are also
poor, with often tough living conditions and unsanitary environments.

Another reason for the poor living conditions in the family size of the lower-middle-class
families. Typical lower-middle-class families are often larger than upper-middle-class families,
with usually more than two children.

Upper middle class is the socio-economic group with the highest status in the middle class
society. Lower middle class is the socio-economic group with the lowest status in the middle
class society.

Upper middle class consists of individuals with good education and decent jobs. Lower middle
class consists of people with lower educational qualifications and blue collar jobs.

Upper middle class often enjoys wealth and luxury. Lower middle class is not as privileged.
Upper middle class consists of white collar employees, with a decent and secure salary, perks
and other bonuses. Lower middle class consists of blue collar jobs, with no secure pay and no
perks.

The livelihood of upper middle class is very decent, with good living conditions as compared to
lower middle class.
