Project Construction and Management

Construction project management is a complex field that needs to address many important
aspects such as cost control, scheduling, procurement and risk assessment. A project manager
interacts with all team members involved in a construction project, from architects to owners
to contractors. But what is the difference between project manager and construction manager?
A project manager guides and manages the development process from real estate to
construction. A project management company offers a step-by-step approach that guides
franchisees through each stage of the development process. A construction manager manages
only the construction phase of a project.

In order for us to have and be able to start a project construction, first we need to participate
in biddings. The construction bidding process is done by submitting a bidding form to the
owner or general contractor to carry out the project. Of course, these offers become more
competitive when the subcontractor bids on the work at a certain amount. And all
participants, if you are the one selected to win this bid, they will let you know when to start
so that you can meet all the necessary requirements before starting this project. after that you
need to be able to make your timeline to know how long it will take, how many workers are
needed to finish it on the set day, month or year. But we must not only focus on construction,
we must also focus on our workers, on their safety because you cannot carry out this project
without them. Also, another one of the things I learned is about procuring materials, it must
be followed the proper process so as not to break whatever the planned timeline for this
project is. You should also make sure that the papers you handle for this project are in order
and correct.

Most of all what I learned in this subject is how you can have a project, make sure that the
process is right and you have the right documents for that project construction, also make sure
that your workers are safe, and more than everything is to make sure that the timeline for this
project is correct and followed as well as to make sure that the procurement of materials is
done correctly.

I hope to go deeper and learn a lot in this subject that I can really use when I am in the reality
of life as a civil engineer because what I really want is to see what happens on the construction
site how do they do it successfully and what are the problems that I can experience that will
be a lesson for me to deepen my knowledge.
