GONIOMETRY

Introduction
Goniometry has been used by human civilization from
ancient times to our time in countless applications,
such as agriculture, carpentry, blacksmithing,
mathematics, geometry, physics, engineering, and
architecture, among others. Goniometry is the
technique of measuring the angles created by the
intersection of the longitudinal axes of the bones at
the level of the joints

OBJECTIVE METHODOLOGY
Goniometrics has purpose to evaluate the range of Materials are Goniometry,
motion of a joint in each of the three planes of fluid inclinometer and Measuring
spaces. In this case, it is a Dynamic procedure tape
used to objectify and quantify the mobility of a joint.
( Claudio H. Taboadela, 2005)

RESULTS
Their results are for large joints built in
transparent plastic that presents a 360°
transporter as a body with divisions of its scale
every 1°Goniometers have a body and two arms
or branches, one fixed and the other mobile. The
goniometer body is actually a 180° or 360°
protractor. The protractor scale is usually
expressed in divisions every 1°, every 5°, or
every 10°. The central point of the body is called
the axis or axis.
CONCLUSION
Goniometry is a technique that can be used to assess
functional status of the joints angles. It is useful in Orthopedics,
Traumatology and Rheumatology. Goniometry is applied to
describe the presence of misalignments at the level of the
References osteoarticular system for diagnostic, prognostic, therapeutic
