These tips of a successful project presentation reflect years of experiences and collective
discussions.
3 types of people:
In Architecture:
Approach to site is point A till you exit the site from the other side is point B.
To create a successful architectural experience, the line of spaces you are designing should
work along the circulation you are placing.
Example:
You will pass by a crowd of students and trees, making you enjoy the scene as you are
walking by as there are a lot of events occurring.

Even when you are walking through the corridor, you can see outdoor views from the glass
facade not making you feel of the time while crossing from point A to B.
However, same distance on the second floor while walking across the offices, you will not
face events like the ground floor.
a. Type
b. Space
c. What kinds of events that should happen in each space
To create a meaningful story, users should be exposed to positive events while circulating
through the spaces.
A space should serve a specific function and create particular events appropriate for the users.
2 circulation systems:
a. Major
b. Minor – no need for experience as much as in the major circulation system
*The circulation system is a space with events occurring, it is not a line but a zone and a
space like other functional spaces. You should think of the circulation system from the
early stages of your project planning.
Where the student was designing a park that will make the users hate it and not come back.
This contradicts what Architects should do as our job is to design spaces to enhance human
delight (indoor and/or outdoor).
a. Thermal comfort
b. Acoustic comfort
c. Building integrity
d. Lighting comfort
e. Spatial comfort
To convince your audience with your project, after going through the goals of the
project, you need to show how you will fulfill these goals architecturally for
example by talking about the spatial organization of the project.
Does your project presentation coincide with your plans, diagrams, etc.…?
