The project proposal must be word processed and Section 3 - Evaluation

presented under the headings listed here: (Approximately 50 words)

This section provides an opportunity for you to explain

how you will reflect on and evaluate your work, as both
an ongoing activity and at the conclusion of the
project.

You should describe how you intend to record

your decision-making and how you will document
changes to your ideas as the project
progresses. The evaluation section should
reference your stated aims and
be reflective and analytical rather than a
description of actions completed.

When working in collaboration with others, you

should comment on how this may impact
either positively or adversely and outline the
steps you can take to minimise disruption to your own
progress.

Project action plan and timetable:

This section provides you with an opportunity to

outline your planning and organisation over a
period of weeks and the activities you will need to
carry out in order to successfully complete
your project in the agreed time frame. The more
time and thought you give to
planning your project, the more successful it is
likely to be.

It is important that you consider how you will

balance ambition, time and realism in the
realisation of the project. You should also include
what you are going to do, how you will do it
and by when. Remember to include: time spent
sourcing materials and other resources to conduct
research, feedback from tutors and peers, and
when you will carry out independent study.

Bibliography (Harvard Format):

This section provides an opportunity to record the

initial research sources, both primary and
secondary, that you intend to use.

Your sources of research should be as wide

as possible and could include libraries,
galleries, books, magazines, films, computer games,
websites, blogs, social media, radio
programmes, archive material etc. Where
appropriate, you should use the Harvard
system of referencing. The bibliography should be
continuously updated as the
project progresses.

Section 1: Rationale
(approx. 100 words)
For this project, I had to create my own design. I feel confident that I can do this project for
two reasons: first, thanks to the course I have very good knowledge of using other
programmes (Photoshop and Illustrator), in the sense that if I need to change a detail of an
image or make it creative by adding an effect to improve it, I have the skills to do it; second, I
have some creativity in creating layouts, since I used PowerPoint and Publisher very often to
create presentations and brochures for school assignments, so thanks to this I will have many
advantages in doing this project without having difficulties.
I think that this project will allow me to improve my graphic design skills, and my creativity
in the layout of a document such as a magazine, and also to learn how to use the Adobe
InDesign programme and to learn new functions to make my design professionally if I were to
work for a company that requires magazine layout or website design projects.

Section 2: Project
Concept
For this project, I plan to create a magazine for the most famous Italian car that exists, the
(approx. 200 words) FIAT 500.
The idea is to create a magazine that talks about the history of the car, with the previous
models, the various changes over the years and maybe adding some curiosities. Trying not to
make it boring but to make it interesting also from a cultural point of view, which is suitable
for all ages, professionals and even those who do not know about cars.

For this project, I will be helped with both primary and secondary research, as I will have to
take inspiration from other magazines to see how the pages are arranged (image and text) and
to see what kind of style they have and whether to choose whether to make vintage or modern
the magazine. But mostly how to set up the pages and what content to put on each page, so I
have to do a lot of research to know what to put.
And in the end, I was thinking of adding at the end of the magazine a page to cut out where
you can create a 3D model of a FIAT 500 but I'm not sure yet.

Section 3: Evaluation
(approx. 50 words)
To show my progress or the changes I make to improve the work, I will write a short text
every week to see the progress I make over time.
I could also use focus groups or surveys to accumulate other ideas from other people to
improve the project.
