The project proposal must be word processed

(Approximately 50 words)

This section provides an opportunity for you

to explain how you will reflect on and evaluate
your work, as both an ongoing activity and at
the conclusion of the project.

You should describe how you intend to

record your decision-making and how you
will document changes to your ideas as the
project progresses. The evaluation section
should reference your stated aims and
be reflective and analytical rather than a
description of actions completed.

When working in collaboration with others,

you should comment on how this may impact
either positively or adversely and outline the
steps you can take to minimise disruption to
your own progress.

350 word limit of the proposal:

Project action plan and timetable:

This section provides you with an opportunity

to outline your planning and organisation
over a period of weeks and the activities you
will need to carry out in order to successfully
complete your project in the agreed time
frame. The more time and thought you give to
planning your project, the more successful it is
likely to be.

It is important that you consider how you will

balance ambition, time and realism in the
realisation of the project. You should also
include what you are going to do, how you
will do it and by when. Remember to include:
time spent sourcing materials and other
resources to conduct research, feedback from
tutors and peers, and when you will carry out
independent study.

Bibliography (Harvard Format):

This section provides an opportunity to record

the initial research sources, both primary and
secondary, that you intend to use.

Your sources of research should be as wide

as possible and could include libraries,
galleries, books, magazines, films, computer
games, websites, blogs, social media, radio
programmes, archive material etc. Where
appropriate, you should use the Harvard
system of referencing. The bibliography should
be continuously updated as the
project progresses.

Project Title
Packaging Design - Canned Drink

Section 1: Rationale
(approx. 100 words)
The brief we were given was to create a label for a canned drink of any kind,
we were then informed we would stick it onto a can to see what it would
realistically look like. When first introduced to this task I was very intrigued
on how this was going to be executed, I was feeling slightly confident on this
project as I had many ideas but wasn’t sure how they would be produced.
This project needs research skills, creative skills and practical skills. Using
this I’ve already learnt a lot about competitors through research, learning
facts making you more informed about this subject.

Section 2: Project
Concept
My overall idea was to make a canned energy drink brand that’s vibrant and
(approx. 200 words) colorful with many different flavors and colored cans. It would be an energy
pick up for during the day, especially for people who are on the go or shift
workers who don’t get a break. My target audience is around 17-25 as its
more for those working on their feet although it is 16+ because of the
amount of caffeine that the drink contains. I think research into canned drink
manufacturing could help and to know how much it would cost to make our
drinks and the process we would have to go through if we wanted to make
these on a large scale. We could also research the caffeine side of it and how
much is legally allowed in and what the effects are of different amounts of it
and how much is in other competitors and the effects of them. The practical
work this project contains is that we are printing out the label in the correct
dimensions and stick it to a can so we can visually see how it would look in
person. I need access to a sealed can and a printer to print my label, very
easy and simple things to get hold of.

Section 3: Evaluation
(approx. 50 words)
To keep track of my progress on this project my interacting in peer
discussions about what each person is doing per week. As I progress through
each section of my work and research all annotations are evidenced on my
website Weebly and at the end of the project I will write an evaluation
including everything about what I’ve done through the project and
improvements that could be made.
