The project proposal must be word processed

(Approximately 50 words)

This section provides an opportunity for you

to explain how you will reflect on and evaluate
your work, as both an ongoing activity and at
the conclusion of the project.

You should describe how you intend to

record your decision-making and how you
will document changes to your ideas as the
project progresses. The evaluation section
should reference your stated aims and
be reflective and analytical rather than a
description of actions completed.

When working in collaboration with others,

you should comment on how this may impact
either positively or adversely and outline the
steps you can take to minimise disruption to
your own progress.

Additional requirements, not included in the

350 word limit of the proposal:

Project action plan and timetable:

This section provides you with an opportunity

to outline your planning and organisation
over a period of weeks and the activities you
will need to carry out in order to successfully
complete your project in the agreed time
frame. The more time and thought you give to
planning your project, the more successful it is
likely to be.

It is important that you consider how you will

balance ambition, time and realism in the
realisation of the project. You should also
include what you are going to do, how you
will do it and by when. Remember to include:
time spent sourcing materials and other
resources to conduct research, feedback from
tutors and peers, and when you will carry out
independent study.

Bibliography (Harvard Format):

This section provides an opportunity to record

the initial research sources, both primary and
secondary, that you intend to use.

Your sources of research should be as wide

as possible and could include libraries,
galleries, books, magazines, films, computer
games, websites, blogs, social media, radio
programmes, archive material etc. Where
appropriate, you should use the Harvard
system of referencing. The bibliography should
be continuously updated as the
project progresses.

Project Title
Personal Project – Film poster design

Section 1: Rationale
(approx. 100 words)
For this task the brief is asking us to create a project based off the theme
text and image, so I am creating a movie poster. In executing this project, I
am feeling pretty confident as I think that I can gather relevant and helpful
research to help me in designing and executing my outcome. This project will
call upon knowledge and skills in adobe software but also in gathering and
using research to help with the design stage. It will also use time
management and organization skills to get a finished product in time for the
deadline. This project also creates a lot of learning opportunities like being
able to expand my knowledge in adobe software and increasing my research
gathering skills, as well as management skills to keep on top and not
overwhelm myself with too many things to do at once.

Section 2: Project
Concept
My overall idea for this project is to create a set of two or three movie posters
(approx. 200 words) for a unreleased film based off a true story called Oppenheimer. My target
audience for this movie poster is dependent on the film I am making it for
which in this case my target audience would probably be teenagers to adult
range interested in history and war as the film is about war and the creation
of the atomic bomb. Research to help me develop my project further would
be to research about the film itself and then the story and man that it is
based off to help me understand what happened and to help me see what I
could use in my movie poster to create subtle teasers for the film within my
poster even though the film isn’t released yet. Practical work that will be
produced for this project will be a set of movie posters that will be on
photoshop and could possibly be printed out into physical copies after
finalization. Resources I will need in order to carry out this project will be a
computer with adobe software for the practical side of things as well as
access to google and YouTube for research.

Unit 8 Project Proposal
Section 3: Evaluation
(approx. 50 words)
Throughout this project I will reflect and evaluate my work by carrying out
focus groups and surveys to receive feedback on my designs to be able to
develop them further. I will also do reflections each work on the week I have
done to be able to make sure I have not missed anything and to also check
I’ve done it to a good standard. As well as that I will look back at and use my
annotations to document decision making and what I have done to develop
and reflect on work.

Research I intend to do for this project will be based around movie posters
and what makes them good or bad and what features are needed and also, I
will be researching about the film I am doing to give good inspiration and
ideas to my designs.
