The project proposal must be word processed
and presented under the headings listed here: Section 3 - Evaluation
(Approximately 50 words)

This section provides an opportunity for you

to explain how you will reflect on and evaluate
your work, as both an ongoing activity and at
the conclusion of the project.

You should describe how you intend to

record your decision-making and how you
will document changes to your ideas as the
project progresses. The evaluation section
should reference your stated aims and
be reflective and analytical rather than a
description of actions completed.

When working in collaboration with others,

you should comment on how this may impact
either positively or adversely and outline the
steps you can take to minimise disruption to
your own progress.

Additional requirements, not included in the

350 word limit of the proposal:

Project action plan and timetable:

This section provides you with an opportunity

to outline your planning and organisation
over a period of weeks and the activities you
will need to carry out in order to successfully
complete your project in the agreed time
frame. The more time and thought you give to
planning your project, the more successful it is
likely to be.

It is important that you consider how you will

balance ambition, time and realism in the
realisation of the project. You should also
include what you are going to do, how you
will do it and by when. Remember to include:
time spent sourcing materials and other
resources to conduct research, feedback from
tutors and peers, and when you will carry out
independent study.

Bibliography (Harvard Format):

This section provides an opportunity to record

the initial research sources, both primary and
secondary, that you intend to use.

Your sources of research should be as wide

as possible and could include libraries,
galleries, books, magazines, films, computer
games, websites, blogs, social media, radio
programmes, archive material etc. Where
appropriate, you should use the Harvard
system of referencing. The bibliography should
be continuously updated as the
project progresses.

Project Title
Personal Project- Coffee Magazine

Section 1: Rationale
(approx. 100 words)
For this project I wanted to do something that id enjoy but also be not too
familiar with as I would like to challenge myself a bit. During the course I’ve
created my own brand, designed packaging for my brand and for the Fanta
project which is something I really enjoyed however I haven’t yet created a
magazine. I’ve created afront cover for one during the brand swap task, but
I’d think it would challenge my to do a magazine and design each page
through.
Currently I enjoy making coffee, I work as a barista which makes me very
aware of the making of coffee and I think it would be interesting to create my
own magazine based on it.
Id like to use adobe illustrator and create images of coffee to make the
magazine look interesting and paint some things myself that can be scanned
and added to my magazine.

Section 2: Project
Concept
I have quite a wide target audience as coffee is liked by anyone at any age. Id
(approx. 200 words) like to aim my coffee magazine towards anyone who is interested in coffee or
anyone who would like to know more about coffee.
This could also include baristas that are also wanting to know more.
I’m going to research by first looking at other coffee brands such as costa
and Starbucks to find out some information that I can use in my magazine
but also googling about coffee too and look at statistics of the ae of people
that buy coffee and the most common drink drunk.

During this project I’d like to annotate my work and add images from
Pinterest to give me some inspiration as to what kind of things I’m going to
add to my magazine and experiment with different ways I could do things.
I’m going to add videos of my creating some of the edits and explain how I
achieved the outcome and to show what skills I have developed throughout
my project.

Unit 8 Project Proposal
Section 3: Evaluation
(approx. 50 words)
I am going to write each week what skills I have either learned or developed
and what things I have produced and are working on, using images of my
piece and including screen recordings of the developments and document my
decision making throughout.
I’m going to use focus groups and surveys to get feedback from my peers as
to what things they like about that I’m doing and things that I should add to
my work.
