“ Alibaba: Motivation for the Long Haul”

Review

Jack Ma is the founder of Alibaba, Alibaba is China’s largest e-commerce company


with desires for making dream come true and for creating a lively atmosphere where
employees strive for success as a family.

But they have a problem. The problem is losing employees who possess critical
knowledge threaten its long-term vision despite attracting new talent. With over a quarter of
its employees owning company share, the temptation to cast out and walk away is common as
the company rides the waves of the Wall Street.

Solution

To solve the problem Jack Ma penned letters to employees not to forget the
company’s ideal of keeping the customer first and to consider the longer journey. Ma cautions
employees to be carefull of wealth’s seductive side and to keep the greater good at heart.

Q : If I am a leader and my employee doesn't trust me and if I give a motivation they ignore

A : As a leader you must give more affection and attention. So you must doing not only
motivation but also interaction.

Q: if you became a manager what kind motivation you use? ( Nadzifa )

A : As a leader ,we will give our employee a reward, as example if we can reach the target
seller ,we will give a bonus or voucher. So it can be motivation to trigger their performance.

Conclusion

Affection and attention is important in world of working, as a leader you must know
your employees needs. After you fulfill they needs, you can starting motivate your employees
and give them achievement and reward to them after they reach the target.
