F1 2013 True to Life AI Installation Instructions

Remember – if this is your first time using this mod, it will corrupt your profile. You may upgrade from
True to Life AI version 2.0 or higher to this version without corrupting your profile.

1. Please. PLEASE follow these installation instructions exactly!

2. Make a list of the other mods you use and download them, this way you have them available
to reinstall after installing this mod.

3. Navigate to your F1 2012 installation directory. By default this is:

(Or C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\F1 2012)

4. DELETE everything in your F1 2012 installation directory. This is so we start clean and fresh with
100% certainty.

5. Now open Steam > Go to your Library > right click F1 2012 > Properties > "Local Files" tab > Click
"Verify Integrity of game cache..."
6. Let Steam re-download and install all the original game files (this will take some time...go have a
drink).
a. Once this is done, I recommend you taking a backup of the entire default Steam-verified
F1 2012 directory so you don’t need to wait for Steam anymore.

7. Extract the contents of the "True to Life AI 2013 Season [version].zip" file.

8. Open the folder you just created with the extracted files.

9. Open the “F1 2013 Season Mod” folder and copy all of its contents.

10. Now, navigate to your F1 2012 installation directory again. Remember, by default this is:

(Or C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\F1 2012)

11. Paste the contents into your game installation directory. Confirm to merge all folders and
overwrite all files.
12. Next, navigate to your F1 2012 installation directory > “cars” folder > “lr2” folder and DELETE
the "livery_main" folder (or move it to another location for backup). This will enable the 2013
Lotus livery changes for Kimi and Romain's cars.

13. To install the 50% database, Dry Weather Only Mod, or Alternate Team Mate mod, open each
mod’s respective folder (found in the extracted True to Life AI 2013 Season [version] folder) and
copy the contents into your F1 2012 installation directory.
a. THE ALTERNATE TEAM MATE MOD WILL CORRUPT YOUR PROFILE, FYI

14. You’re done! Go play!!
