CLASSROOM-BASED ACTION RESEARCH: REVISITING THE PROCESS AS

CUSTOMIZABLE AND MEANINGFUL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
FOR MATHEMATICS EDUCATORS

The Department of Education (DepEd) Davao de Oro Division through the Curriculum

Implementation Division (CID) will conduct a Classroom-Based Action Research:

Revisiting the Process as Customizable and Meaningful Professional
Development for Mathematics Educators on August 10, 2022 at ComVal Hotel and
Restaurant, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro and August 11-14, 2022 through Online Asynchronous
platform. The activity is under the series of training on content, pedagogy, assessment, LR
development, and action research for mathematics teachers of the Division Mathematics
Enhancement Program.

The activity aims to make the participants to have a deep understanding and a workable
knowledge of the basics of developing a Basic Research, Classroom-Based Action Research, and
Mathematics Investigation Paper.

Participants are advised to conduct the preferred research after the training. Below is the
schedule and timeline of the activity:

Attached is the matrix of activities and the participant’s list.

 Teacher-participants are entitled to service credits for services rendered during summer
vacation. Said privileges are in accordance with DepEd Order No. 53, s. 2003 on Updated
Guidelines on Grant of Vacation Service Credits to Teachers.

Moreover, this office reiterates that all participants shall observe the minimum health
standards and safety protocols set forth by the IATF and DOH, for the prevention and control of
COVID 19.

Travel and other incidental expenses incurred in the participation of the aforesaid activity
shall be charged to local funds, subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

Wide and immediate dissemination of this Memorandum to all concerned is desired.
