Course Description The course includes a thorough discussion of the four


purposes of human resource management the acquisition,
development, maintenance and the utilization of personnel. It
also discusses training related to organizational objectives.
Moreover, training models, learning theory, evaluation
methodologies, instructional techniques and topics of special
interest are emphasized.

Course Outcomes 1. understand the meaning and concept of human resource


management in the organization;
2. identify the major roles and functions of human resources
in the organization; and
3. be aware of the current events and practices of personnel
and human resource management towards the changing
global trends and emerging new world order in the
business external and internal environment.
4. familiarize current concept applied in personnel and
human resources management and internalize the concept
to express thought and ideas by learning the skills to be
confident in application;
5. create a simple training design to the identified group of
employees in a certain organization; and
6. implement the training design.
7. categorically identify themselves as part of the human
resources of the business organization in the future for
which they play a vital role not only in the retaining
company’s workforce but also crucial to the realization of
the of the organizations’ mission and vision;
8. develop appropriate values among the students; and
9. appreciate the importance of creating a training design.

organization in order to have extraordinary performance for long
term basis. Organizations desire to find many ways to increase
their performance. After reading this lesson you will learn about

Maintenance function of human resource management could be a


managerial function tries to match an organization’s needs of its
employees. Attracting developing, motivating and retaining
required talent and other people in organization carries out this
function. To assist the organization reach its goals. The
organization ensure effective utilization and maximum
development of human resource so as to realize and maintain
high moral among employees. During this way, employee’s job
satisfaction and self- actualization increase to the fullest and
therefore the organization can provide with well-trained and well-
motivated employees that help the organizations achieves its goal.
