Making the payment

If you choose to settle the agreement now, the enclosed information details how to pay. Please be sure to make the
payment at least five working days before the settlement date – this is to make sure we receive it on time. As
some banks can take up to 10 working days to clear cheques and Direct Debits, we recommend you pay via bank
transfer to cut down on clearance time.

If someone else is settling the agreement on your behalf, you’re still responsible for making sure we receive the
above amount on time. You’re also fully liable for the payment, so you should keep hold of the vehicle until we have
received the full settlement.

It’s important that you make all of your usual instalments that are due before the valid to date, and of course if you
decide not to pay the settlement figure, you’ll need to keep making your payments as normal. So, don’t cancel your
Direct Debit mandate until you have received confirmation from us. If this means you overpay, don’t worry – we’ll
automatically refund it to your bank account.

What happens next?

Once we’ve received your payment and the agreement has been settled, we’ll send you a letter of confirmation.

It’s worth checking whether you have any insurance that you don’t need anymore, for example Purchase Protection
(sometimes known as GAP insurance) or SMART Cover (a type of cosmetic repair insurance). If you do, you might
be entitled to cancel the policy and receive a partial refund. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider
to check whether this is the case.
