Hello,

My name is Laurel Bilbo. I am a clinical instructor at the University of Arizona, College of Nursing. I
teach the adult medical surgical content and work with students in the hospital environment. It was during one
of these clinical rotations, that I had the pleasure of working with Jillian Ferre as a student. Jillian had some
noted time management and organizational skills not typically seen in a second semester student. I am sure this
came from her working as a server, ski coach, concierge, and a hostess. These jobs require flexibility,
organization, and good people skills. Jillian is a bright student. Jillian is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and has
a GPA of 3.78. This GPA is difficult to maintain in such a rigorous program as ours.
Jillian was a great team player. Jillian often helped other students and staff when time allowed. Jillian
always notified her supervising nurse of changes and communicated the needs of the patient to the nursing
assistant in a professional manner. Jillian was a compassionate caregiver and was culturally sensitive in her
care. Jillian was very respectful to all who she encountered. Jillian also not only performed the needed care,
but educated her patients about medications, procedures, and the patient’s disease process. Jillian recognized the
importance of providing patient centered care and had strong attention to detail. She would be a great candidate
for your nurse residency program. I am pleased to recommend Jillian for your nurse residency program in your
facility. This would be an excellent investment in a great future nurse. Jillian would be an asset to any unit she
