You recently visited one of the hilly regions of your country. You were mesmerised by the beauty and
surroundings of that place. Describe your experience of visiting that hill station in not more than 200-
250 words.

1. Great thing about visiting Darjeeling in the Eastern Himalayas is the excitement starts even
before one reaches the place.
2. Unbelievably quaint “toy train” you can opt for to get there. The sight of the little train chugging
up the hill-side through clouds of mist is an experience by itself.
3. As you go up from the plains, there is a nip in the air, a headiness in it that is difficult to
describe.
4. Tiger Hill is a place to visit at dawn. You get up early, smoke coming out through the nostrils
and rubbing your hands you put on a jacket, scarf and monkey-cap and board a jeep.
5. You wait in the semi-darkness for the sun to rise from behind majestic cloud-quilted peaks that
speak of God and eternity and mysteries of the universe.
6. The Mall is for the evenings, for bumping into people, for making new friends, for chatting to
your heart’s content, nibbling at titbits, for sitting back and watching the flow of human traffic.
