1. What is being investigated? Food intolerance and choice behavior while traveling.

2. What is being measured? Vulnerabilities and reflexivity used to purchase food items.

3. How is data gathered? Documented experience critically reviewed; traveler interviewed.

Memory as triggers, photographs.

4. How many participants / subjects are involved? One participant (has experience traveling;

diagnosed severe gluten intolerance in 2016).

5. Control: Place visited, experience from a single traveler, food intolerance, Dependent: how

food service providers respond, find alternative foods for the researcher? Do food service

providers actually pay attention to the ingredients for the foods that the person is intolerant to?

Emotional responses, etc. [food choice behavior, avoidance, reflexivity] Independent: places

available there to eat.
