MEMORIES OF MY CHILDHOOD

Fernanda: Mom, do you have memories when you were a

child, for example, something funny, memorable,
or that you didn't like?

Carmen: Of course, I do, I remember when I was six years old, on those
days with my dad we cut a tree for Christmas, I used to carry a
saw to cut the pine tree. I always helped him in everything he
did.

Fernanda: Did you always go out with your dad?

Carmen: Yes, I always did, we traveled together, we shared many things,

he taught me to love nature and to have empathy for it, he was
very important in my life when I was a child
Fernanda: Do you have another memory?

Carmen: When I was 10 years old we went to his brother's country, he

had many horses, my father taught me how to ride, and every
afternoon we rode horses, we went to the river, we walked trails
picking mushrooms, he taught me how to fish. I was very
happy as a child.
Fernanda: Do you have memories of your grandmother,
your father's mother?

Carmen: Yes, every summer we went camping with her, we were for
fifteen days to Lanalhue lake. I also remember that she took me
to the park, she bought me ice cream, she made me the most
delicious food, she made cakes, kuchen, she cooked wonderful
food.

Fernanda: And do you have memories of your school?

Carmen: Of course, I liked going to school very much, I had many

friends, in 1997 (nineteen ninety-seven) we had a singing and
dancing group, I always participated in all the school events. I
ALWAYS was very artistic.

Fernanda: How funny mom

Carmen: Yes, I was a very happy girl... that's why you have to enjoy it as
much as I did.
