Problem

Gholteer landslide is situated at a distance of 19.1 km from Designer / Consultant: -
Karnapryag, lying at an altitude of 850m, near Gholteer Contractor: BHARAT CONSTRUCTION
village. The region falls in highest seismic zone of India and Products used (Qty.)
epicentres of some major earthquakes had been located in - Dynamic barrier RB 1500 100m
the region, a few of which had caused damage to property
Date of construction: 10/2019 - 01/2020
and resulted in loss of lives. Seismotectonic studies reveal
that most of the events that occurred in the region are
clustered in the vicinity of the surface trace of the Main
Central Thrust (MCT).
Highly weathered quartzite is observed towards flanks of
landslide area that too is highly to moderately weathered
and disintegrated.
