MADRASAH EDUCATION IN THE K TO 12 BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR
THE IMPLEMENTING SCHOOL OF ARABIC LANGUAGE AND ISLAMIC VALUES
EDUCATION (ALIVE) PROGRAM
1. The Department of Education aims to provide quality education and making sure that no
one is left behind. The Madrasah Education Program (MEP) is one of the programs of
Department of Education that caters our Muslim learners. It aims to provide appropriate
and relevant educational opportunities within the context of Muslim culture, customs
traditions and interests through the integration of the Arabic Language and Islamic Values
Education.
2. Gapan East Integrated School acknowledges the importance of being knowledgeable in
MEP, ALIVE and our Asatidz. In this regard a SCHOOL-BASED TRAINING-WORKSHOP
ON THE POLICY GUIDELINES ON MADRASAH EDUCATION IN THE K TO 12 BASIC
EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR THE IMPLEMENTING SCHOOL OF ARABIC LANGUAGE
AND ISLAMIC VALUES EDUCATION (ALIVE) PROGRAM on December 7, 2022, 4:00 to
5:30 PM at Grade VI-2 room.
3. This activity is in line with Schools Division Memorandum No. 553, s. 2022 titled Division
Training-Workshop on the Policy Guidelines on Madrasah Education in the K to 12 Basic
Education Program for the New Implementing Schools of Arabic Language and Islamic
Values Education (ALIVE) Program and in accordance with Deped Order No. 9, s. 2005
titled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-On-Task and Ensuring Compliance
Therewith and DO 34, s. 2022 School Calendar and Activities for SY 2022-2023.
4. It aims to capacitate participants on the necessary Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes (KSA)
in providing Muslim learners with appropriate and relevant educational opportunities
while recognizing their cultural context and unique purpose for participating in the
program; and in integrating content and competencies which are relevant and of interest
to Muslim learners.
5. The participants to this activity are all teaching personnel, Head Teachers and School
Head.
6. Immediate dissemination and compliance with this Memorandum is desired.
