Although I don’t have a chance to tour the Art Museum together with class, I arrange

time to go with my bestie. At first, I was amazed with its historical and mysterious
appearance but beside that something inside me feels scared because of his story about
this palace. Go through the museum, there are a lot of masterpieces about Vietnamese
tradition and war, there are also statues of famous figures. I’m so proud of the skillful
art of Viet Nam artists. One of them impressed me is that “Vườn xuân Trung Nam
Bắc” of Artist Nguyen Gia Tri, the biggest one, which have all of beautiful
brushstrokes so I can imagine the whole story of this picture, every people in the
painting have their own personality and beauty. The atmosphere here is so fresh and
quiet, everybody visits the museum enjoying real art so I want to deepen this vibe.
Back to the story of my fear of the museum, It’s told that the construction was the
family mansion of a Chinese-born businessman named Hua Bon Hoa, one of the
wealthiest traders in South Vietnam in the colonial time. He had a beautiful daughter
but unfortunately she was sick and her disease destroyed her appearance and emotion,
so he captured her for a long time until she died. There were a lot of scary stories
about her death, so I have goosebumps everywhere I visit this place. But, It’s a great
time I have experienced and gained a lot of meaning from life through paintings. I’ll
go to visit the museum again with my boyfriend and take more pictures together.
