I would like to introduce you about the place that I have a great impression with.

This is
Southern Women’s Museum, which is located on Vo Thi Sau street in District 3, Ho Chi Minh
city. It takes me 10 minutes to get there from my home. If my memory serves me right, it might
have been one year since I came here for the first time. I had a chance to join a workshop of one
English speaking club, so I joined with my classmates and we are guided enthusiastic throughout
that trip. I was impressed by the historical beauty of the Southern Women’s Museum with
plenty of elaborate decorated sculptures, paintings,… through displaying these objects, the
museum wants to express the diverse culture practices, traditional dresses and the contribution of
these women. This museum offers a unique perspective on Vietnam’s history, especially
emphasizes on the important role of Southern woman of Vietnam in wars. When I listened to the
tourguide about their resilience, strongness, intelligence and their resignation, I failed to control
my emotion. I was extremely thrilled with their sacrifice to this respectable Vietnam. After
joining this meaningful workshop, I realized a tons of precious things that I haven’t known
before. This museum has a special meaning to me because it help me to make sure that I totally
right when I chose it as a place to live and study. Because it enriches my history knowledge and
enhances my repsonsiblity with not only women but also my country as well. So, if I have the
chance to guide a tourist to a place in Saigon which has a special meaning to me, I definitely will
take them there. A part of the reason is this museum has a solemn asmosphere, so it quite quiet
which is easier for me to introduce to the tourist as clearly as possible. I can proudly share to
them about our history and let them know how brilliant Vietnamese women are. I hope that my
sharing will help they understand more and have a great respectation to Vietnamese women and
Vietnamese in general.
