My name is Duong, spelled D-u o n g,ple call me by Duong. It is my plesure to be your tour
guide today. Now we are standing in front of exhibition area of Ly Dynasty

Ly Dynasty
1,000 years of Thang Long – Hanoi begin with the wise and strategic decision to move the
capital by the first king of Ly Dynasty, Ly Cong Uan. The strategic vision in choosing the
capital remains the same values for over 1,000 years
After taking over the throne, Ly Thai To found out that Hoa Lu land was narrow and
surrounded by mountains, which was not worthy of the capital of an independent nation; it
was more difficult to build a prosperous country. The King thought of moving the capital. He
realized that only Dai La was the most appropriate place to setting up the capital.
In the fall of 1010, Ly Thai To ,decided to transfer the capital from Hoa Lu to Dai La and so
he rebaptised it Thang Long.
why did King decide to transfer the capital?
At that moment, according to legend, the King saw a golden dragon flying up. Then he
changed the name Dai La to Thang Long.
=> Therefore the country under Kings of Ly Dynasty was very peaceful. The people were
hard-working and became more prosperous.

2. Buddhism

impression and feeling?
Yep, Thank you sir/ madam…It names A-di-da statues,was made from main stone. That
statues is typical proof to illussiate the peak of Ly dynasty art and is considered as "the oldest
Buddha statue ever dated".
Do you know? In vietnamese history..
Ly-Tran dynasty was the peak period of Vietnamese feudalism history. It was also known as
the golden age of Vietnamese Buddhism. Therefore, the finding of study aim on the explore
influence of Buddhist culture in Vietnam

3. Tran Dynasty
Lady and Gentlemen, I would like to turn Tran Dynasty, next to me.We are standing in front
of a picture that recreates the historic battle on the Bach Dang River in the 3rd Mongol
Invasion(1288)
How do you feel when you stand that picture?
In tearm of a Vnese,I am so prond of the tradition against foreign invaders
Thank to proactively prepare for the upcoming war and create a strong and advantageous
order of battle. Vietnamese entered the war with great confidence, thanks to the people’s, the
solidarity of the royal court and experience gained from the two previous wars
Under the leadership of Tran Quoc Tuan – one of 10 greatest generals in the world , Tran
Dynasty’s military forces and people were able to gain a complete victory against the
3rd Mongol Invasion .This victory was achieved thanks to many factors, including the flexible
and creative use of the stratagem “Wait at leisure when the enemy labour” in Vietnamese
history,usually called “Vuon khong nha trong”

Now to sum up, it’s the end of our tour today. I have shown you all about architectural,
historical aspects and cultural traditional valuable of many different period in Vietnam
