ANIMAL

Describe a wild animal

Today I’m going to tell you about my favourite wild animal. , I am
quite fascinated with animals. One of my favourites is the lion.
It’s a mammal. It’s known for being a dangerous predator. It hunts
on smaller animals like deer or antelopes. Lion is generally yellow or orange in
colour. Its distinguishing feature is the mane, the thick fur around the neck of
male lions. This feature is absent in female ones.
We can find lions at a number of places. For example, in the wild, like
the savanna in Africa. They can also be found in zoos, but those are
the tamed kinds. Lions are carnivores, so they feed primarily on meat. I
would imagine they are not a fan of greens. They are predators, so I suppose
most of their daily activities is hunting. I don’t know much else apart from these
things.
My love for the lion was began when I watched the Lion King as a child. It was
a interesting animated movie by Disney, and definitely one of my favourites.”
Talk about a pet that you or someone you know once had.
Well, I’m really interested in animals and I have kept a couple of pets but today
I would like to talk about my favourite pet dog and I called him “Maggie”.I still
remember when I was around 12 years old, I wanted to keep a dog and my
father gifted me a small one-month-old puppy as a birthday gift.
It was a Beggie, my favorite breed of dog and it was black in colour, I used to
take a lot of care of this small puppy because he was very weak at that time.
I often take him out for a walk in the morning as well as evening. And we often
play with other dogs of my neighborhood in the park near my house. Moreover,
Maggie was also a very obedient and sensible dog because I got him trained.
After training, he started to follow the commands of all the family members.
He became one of the members in our family.
TRADITION FESTIVAL

Describe a special event (e.g. festival, carnival or other celebration) that takes
place in your country.
One of the most popular festival in my country is Mid-Autumn or Tet Trung
Thu. Along with Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn is an important occasion in
Vietnam, It tradidionally takes place on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. In
the past, it is thought that the festival was a time for people to relax and gather
with family after the summer harvest was completed. Nowadays, Mid-Autumn
is mainly for children but it is also a great time for families and friends to come
together and enjoy the best moment of the year. The moon cakes and the sticky
rice are two items that are the most important preparation for the Mid-Autumn.
During the festival, children of all ages wear colorful mask and carry different
of candle lanterns. Last but not least, there are also those who perform lion
dance to every house in their neighbor with the hope that will bring fortune to
these households.
HISTORY
Describe a historical figure that you find the most impressive.
If someone asks me about one historical figure that I like the most, it will
definitely be President Ho Chi Minh. I am sure that President Ho is admired and
loved not only by Vietnamese people but also residents in other countries
around the world. He is a prominent leader and he led many resistances that
defeated foreign invaders to bring peace to our country.
President Ho is well known for leading a simple life and spending all his life
fighting for the happniess of Vietnamese people and the independence of the
nation.
He was born y in Nghe An province and he could understand the misery and
poverty that were caused by war to Vietnamese people. Therefore, at a very
young age of early twenty, he decided to go to some foreign countries to find a
way to save the country. He went through a lot of ups and downs but with his
decisiveness, he came back to Vietnam with innovative ideas to improve the
policies as well as eliminate invaders.
Describe a historical building you know
Well, the historical building I had a chance to visit is the Temple of
Literature, which is one of the most famous old structures in Vietnam, and a
must-see travel destination for almost all visitors who arrive in Hanoi, the
capital of Vietnam.
The temple was built in 1070 at the time of King Ly Thanh Tong. Then, it
was reconstructed during the Tran dynasty (1225 - 1400) The temple is located
to the south of Thang Long Citadel. It was originally built as a university
dedicated to Confucius, scholars, and sages. This building is extremely well
preserved and is a superb example of traditional-style Vietnamese
architecture. Despite wars and disasters, the ancient architectural styles of many
dynasties as well as precious relics can easily be seen. It shows one of the most
typical architectural styles
in Vietnam, composed of wood and tiles. Along the paths are hundred-year-old
trees that have witnessed ups and downs of history.I believe that the Temple
of Literature is attractive for visitors from all over the world
 The historic site is ranked as one of Hanoi’s most important cultural
places and is steeped in Vietnamese history
Describe a museum that you have visited
A museum is an exciting place to learn about the past and histories of numerous
issues. A few weeks ago, I went to the Quảng Ninh Museum with some of my
friends.

The QN Museum is located in Hạ Long City . This museum is a place of

wonderful collections of Vietnam War. . The museum is currently operated by
the state. We found that many costumes and traditional items from different
parts of the world have been placed there. One can easily learn about the
customs of different ages and countries just by visiting this floor. The next floor
had more adventure and surprises waiting for us. It has placed all the major
inventions of different ages. I was overwhelmed when I saw the first computer
ever built, speedboat, the wheel, motor engine and a few famous inventions of
history on this floor. I was so much dying to touch the first four-wheeler that
had been placed there!
We spent almost a hafl day inside this museum. . The experience was fantastic
and I learned s
TRANSPORTATION
Describe a time you travelled by public transport.
I’m going to talk about the first time when I took a train, which was about 4
years ago. My friends and I went on a vacation in Da Nang and we decided to
travel by train because it was cheaper and more comfortable than commuting
by bus or motorbike. What impressed me the most was the scenery that we had
the chance to contemplate on the way. We saw Lang Co Beach, Hai Van Pass
and other stunning natural places. They were all really beautiful and I think I
would have never had the chance to see those impressive things if I had ridden
a motorbike.I think travelling by public transportation, especially trains, is a
very relaxing experience because passengers do not have to focus on driving or
worry about following traffic rules. Besides, it helps reduce the accident
rate. After the trip, I’ve changed my mind about public transportation, which I
thought was really time-consuming and inconvenient before. Now I use public
transportation more often. It helps me save lots of money and also protect the
environment.
Describe your favorite means of transport.
My favorite means of transport is bicycle. First,it is beneficial to my health. I'm
very busy in doing working and lack physical exercise. Riding a bicycle
provides me with such an opportunity. Besices,it's quite convenient. In my city,
there are many traffic jams. However, riding a bike is different because you will
never be bothered by the rush hour. Third, it makes me throughly enjoy the
natural life. I can take a breathe of fresh air freely, riding in the sunshine under
the blue sky and white clound. I feel very content.Another reason is that it helps
to protect our environment . It does not produce pollution. This is very
important in big cities. I ofter ride my bicycle to department stores of
supermarkets. On weekends, I go to the countryside withmy family by bicycle.
We ride for about one hour before we arrive at our destination, and then we
begin to enjoy our life.
ENVIRONMENT
Nowadays, pollution is a popular term with everyone in the world and air
pollution is one type of pollution. The definition of air pollution is one such
form that refers to the contamination of the air, irrespective of indoors or
outside. A physical, biological or chemical alteration to the air in the
atmosphere can be termed as pollution. There are some main reasons which
cause air contamination such as burning of fossil fuels, agricultural activities,
exhaust from factories and industries, mining operations, and indoor air
pollution. Air pollution always has bad effects on our life. Harmful gases, dust,
and smoke enter into the atmosphere and make it difficult for plants, animals
and humans to survive. We also can see some examples of the result of air
contamination which occurs around us as global warming, acid rain, and
depletion of ozone layer. The effects of air pollution are alarming, so
governments over the world should have suitable policies of protecting the
environment, especially air quality to create a clean world for our generation in
the future.
