001 The Nile River speaking topic

Describe an important river or lake in your country.

Well let me tell that my country Egypt is blessed with the Nile River and for your
information the Nile River is the longest river in the world and it's called the father of
African Rivers.

I heard, actually I read when I was at school that many historians described the Nile
River as the source of life in Egypt and who ever drinks the water of the Nile must
return to Egypt and this because the River Nile looks so pure and calm and I'd like to
tell that despite the fact that this River is the main source of drinking water for many
Egyptians unfortunately it's polluted.

In other words many people especially the uneducated sometimes wash their animals
in the Nile and some of them even throw the trash and rubbish in the Nile and that's
why I believe that if we want to protect the Nile River there must be awareness
campaigns on the media and the social media as well

The government has to impose punishment and to issue laws and regulations to
protect the Nile River because I believe that the Nile River is the source of life in
Egypt. And it's its major source of drinking water for all of us in our country. One last
thing I'd like to tell you that because of its important and significance of the Nile
River it has always been the cause of political frictions and political issues with other
countries.

A very good example of that is what happened with Ethiopia a couple of years ago
when they threatened to build a dam to save the water and to produce electricity and
afterwards, they have already started to build the dam and it's called the Renaissance
Dam. So this is all mainly because the Ethiopians and the Ethiopian authorities are
aware of the strategic importance of the Nile River.

One last thing that I have to add that I believe that educationalists and people who
develop the curriculum at schools must mention that the Nile River is something
sacred and we have to teach our children how to protect it not to throw anything into
the River. One last thing and finally the Nile looks so romantic in the evening and
many people take the Nile cruise to travel from Cairo to other tourist destinations like
Luxor and Aswan.

The Nile is so huge and it runs across my country Egypt and it looks like the blood
running into our body. This is why we consider the Nile River as the major source of
life in our country.

Thank you

002 A museum speaking topic.

Describe a museum that you have visited.

Well let me talk to you today about a controversial topic which is the culture of
visiting museums in my country. As a matter of fact in Egypt which is so riche with
historical places. People do not have a lot of time and they are not very much
interested in visiting museums but you know what, for me I still remember the
museum that I once visited with my friend a couple of years ago. Although I'm not
into museums I remember my elder brother advised me to go to the Egyptian Museum
to explore the greatness of the pharaonic civilization. As a matter of fact (or) actually
I went there with my friends and one of my friends read a lot about the Egyptian
Museum and he was like a tour guide to us.

The museum is so huge, it's huge and it got about three floors and after we bought our
tickets we entered this museum and there was a colossal front beside the museum
building and there is a large open garden in front of it. Actually the garden and the
view of the garden ( were ) mesmerizing after we entered the museum we found that
the place inside is even larger than we initially thought it would be there were two to
three floors in the museum and the inside architecture reminded us of the beautiful
architecture of old Cairo. We could even see the top of the building from the ground
floor.

What surprised us is that most of the visitors to the museum were not Egyptians and
they came from different parts of the world to enjoy the beauty of the museum with
all the different statues and mummies and interestingly people think that mummies are
scary but when you go to the museum and you look into the faces of the mummies,
you really find out how pharaohs were so artistic in the way they mummified the dead
bodies of their relatives and of course the royal family as well. Unfortunately taking
photos was prohibited. Yet, I sometimes tried to take photos take some hidden snaps
especially when I saw the colossal statue of Ramses.

To tell you the truth I believe that media and social media should shed more light on
the beauty of the Egyptian Museum especially that I heard that there will be a new
Egyptian Museum beside the Pyramids. So I guess that if the government funds all the
advertisement and propaganda about the museum, this will attract more tourists and
this will boost the tourism sector in my country.

Thank you.

003 Sports event

Hello

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

I'd like to talk to you about a sports event that brought peace and how a sports event
can play a role in bringing nations together and another question If I have watched a
sports event live or not. These are important topics for the writing and for the
speaking. Always remember when you have any topic, ask yourself "What is the
event? What happened? Where was it? Why was it important? When?". These
questions will open for you many ideas.

When I talk about the sports event I always believe that sports is not only a way of
venting out energy. Sports nowadays and sports events have become a way of
bringing nations together. In other words, despite the political differences that nations
may have still they get together to enjoy a game. For example in the Olympics of
2008 in Brazil many Israeli teams playing basketball and football played with other
Arab teams despite the enmity and differences between Israel and the Arab world still
they enjoy the game!

This also shows that sports can be used and utilized instead of diplomatic majors.
Moreover, sports and sports events can play a very important role in bringing people
together within the same nation for instance, I remember the football match between
Egypt and Burkina Faso. Egypt won the match and all the Egyptian went down the
street they danced, they celebrated together and they enjoyed the feeling of victory
together despite the economic problems despite the political differences among
different social levels. This means that football and other sports can bring people
together and bring nations together.

Ok! One more thing I'd like to pinpoint when I talk about sports is that, soccer players
and football players and athletes themselves play a very important role in bringing
nations together and bringing people together. For example Cristiano Ronaldo and
Messi who are really famous football players play a very good role in raising
awareness about diseases. Next month Messi is coming to Egypt and many other
countries in a campaign against Virus C " Hepatitis C ". So, I'd think that, sports
events and athletes play a very important role in bringing people together in the same
nation and bringing nations together.

Thank you.

004 A toy that you had when you were a child.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about a toy that you received when you were a child.
(or) describe a toy that was special to you when you were a child.

Well, let me talk to you about one of my childhood memories. I remember that when I
turned eight years old and on my birthday party, my father surprised me with a set of
lego.

Lego which is (L E G O) was my special and my favorite toy as a kid. Lego is

actually a brand of children's building blocks and it consists of small colorful plastic
bricks that can be assembled in different ways. I believe that Lego Is one of those toys
that encourages children to use their imagination and creativity to build other toys. So,
instead of having a simple toy, you put all the bricks together and try to imagine the
building that you would like to have. The funny thing is that my cousin used to play
with me with his toy and we used to imagine that we are soldiers protecting a castle
and we used to build castles with the colorful Lego bricks and sometimes actually my
mother used to take pictures of us while we were playing together with the Lego.

One more thing that I remember about Legos that you can make a large spaceship
with Lego bricks and this encouraged me to read more about the universe, because
when I was a child I thought that I would be an astronaut and. I would travel outside
Earth with my Lego spaceship. This actually encouraged me to read more about the
universe, the galaxy and the planets.

So as just I've told you, not all toys can encourage children to read and be creative
but Lego game for me was something unique and I think it enriched my childhood
days with a lot of imagination and creativity and sometimes I used to play with my
Lego even in my home bathtub. Sometimes I felt that maybe that Lego could be like a
submarine! You know!.

Submarine for underwater missions you know, our children are gifted with
imagination and it's very important for parents to provide their children with toys that
enrich children and help them develop the faculty of imagination. That's all.

Thank you.

005 Robots.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic is: the impact of the robots on our future plans.

Well, let me talk to you today about an interesting topic which is the impact of robots
and technology in general on human beings and future of mankind. As you know
quite well technology has made our lives much easier but as the same time with all the
facilities that technology has brought to our lives we have become so lazy and
dependent on cutting edge electronics and that's a huge problem we've got the remote
control next to us on the sofa and we don't even bother to move to change the channel
and we simply use a remote control.

Nowadays you can rarely find someone walking to his workplace because we usually,
we take the car and this is why many people have put on a lot of weight. However, if
we talk about robots I guess robots and artificial intelligence will replace human
beings in many jobs in the future.

For example, a couple of weeks ago I saw an interview on the TV with a robot lady
called Sofia and she memorized all the data, information and necessary figures and
statistics about almost everything around the world. Of course, this is magnificent and
this means that everything will be done precisely and accurately in the future but the
flip side of that is unemployment, because if robots do everything at factories,
companies and offices. This means human beings will not be able to find any job. The
major problem is that company owners and employers want to save the money, time
and effort exerted and consumed by human beings.

So that's why I believe that in the future, robots will control the world. Of course, this
reminds me of one of the science fiction movies and it's called " I Robot " starring
Will Smith.

The movie is a prediction of what will happen in the future and the catastrophe that
will occur because of robots controlling the world. Nowadays you can talk to the
mobile phone and through artificial intelligence you can find mobile phone talking to
you such as Siri on Iphone. So, in the modern age we have become so dependent on
technology but in the future, robots may depend on us! as a secondary and subsidiary
to them.

Thank you

006 Someone who talks a lot.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is : talk about a person who talks too much!

Well, let me talk to you about my elder brother Hossam who is three
years older than me. Despite the fact that he likes to talk too much and
many people don't like that, I actually enjoy his talk. I enjoy every
moment listening to him. This is mainly because he's got a lot of
experiences in work and of course in life. For example, I remember the
other day when he told me about his experience with his manager and
how he gave a beautiful presentation in the company and he gave me a lot
of secrets about presentation skills and even interpersonal skills.

As a matter of fact, I can see that his stories are so rich with wise saying
and very rich with old experiences that he's gone through. This is why I
believe that one of the ways to bridge the gap between generations is to
have this kind of conversation. I know quite well that some people may
not like that but for me, I listen to him especially when I'm down.

For example, yesterday I was down in the dumps because I had a big
fight at work and you know what, after talking to him, I found out that I
was the one who made the mistake and I had to go to my manager to
apologize. To tell you the truth, when I listen to his advice I turn out to be
the winner at the end. So, I can say that my elder brother is a very
talkative person but it's not just any kind of nonsense chitchat. It's a very
rich talk that's full of experiences and wise saying. One last thing,
because my brother has got a solid academic background so he always
relates his talks to academic theories or even moral lessons from religion.
So, that's why I learn a lot from him and I guess he's open-minded
attitude and his talk and the way he talks to me. All this has affected me
greatly and had a positive impact on me.

Thank you very much.

007 talk about a good cook you know.
Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic is: Describe someone you know who is a good cook.

Well, let me tell you about one of our family secrets and the secret is that
my father is a better cook than my mother. of course, this is quite
surprising in Egypt because usually models are the chefs, and the
amazing cooks at home but for me, it was a different scenario. My father
actually lived on his own when he was a student, and that's why he
learned all the tips and tricks of cooking actually. But as he grew older he
traveled after that and lived abroad and he had to cook and depend on
himself.

That's why when he returned back in Egypt and after settling in Egypt he
helped my mother a lot in the kitchen. I remember that he used to read a
lot and his favorite type of books was about healthy food. That's why he
used to provide us with healthy meals full of chopped red peppers,
onions, cucumbers and tomatoes and the good thing is that he always
insisted on providing all the meals with fresh juice as well. So, to tell you
the truth I keep asking myself, why he is so good at cooking?. I think it is
partly because he enjoys it and he has had a lot of practice and it's his
passion and although cooking is not his profession but he has a passion
for food and surprisingly he is not overweight because he was very keen
on eating healthy food as I mentioned before.

Finally, I guess that what makes him very clever and smart was his ability
to select fresh vegetables and high quality ingredients in the food. So,
usually, all the meals were tasty and nutritious and this is something quite
good. I remember that, whenever I had exams, he was the one who
reminded me and prepared sandwiches for me and you know what even
after eating the meal I never felt dizzy or sleepy because his food was
healthy and light.

That's why I look up to my father as an amazing father and a professional

chef not working as a chef but only at home for his family.

Thank you.

Dr. Muhammad Khalil Mussa (002) 0100 019 0890 Page 7 of 71 www.englivision.com
008 an important historical event in your country.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is : talk about an important historical event in your

country.

Well, I believe in Egypt there're so many important historical events that

have changed the political and economic scenes in my country but I guess
the most crucial turning point was the revolution of the 25th of January
revolution that broke out after many years of no change in politics. In
other words, the revolution ousted the former president Mubarak and by
that time, many Egyptians lost the hope for any change and the country
and all its economic resources were in the hands of a bunch of corrupt
businessmen and that's why I believed that this revolution brought about
many changes. As far as I recall youth ran into the streets and there were
rallies of youngsters chanting for a change for a better Egypt. However,
the saddest thing was that many of those young people were shot dead.
But you know what, any change in any country must bring about
casualties and victims.

Finally, I believe that after the revolution there was a spirit of hope
among many young people and this spirit last for a long time and we wish
that one day Egypt will be number one in the world because we have
creative and dedicated young men.

There is something else that I'd like to add to this historical event that
today we take this day of 25th of January as a day off because it
commemorates the victory of the public over authoritarian governments
and authorities that are corrupt and have rolled Egypt for many years.

So we need every year whenever we have the anniversary of 25th of

January to remember the spirits of the martyrs who died and sacrified.

Thank you.

Dr. Muhammad Khalil Mussa (002) 0100 019 0890 Page 8 of 71 www.englivision.com
009 A day that cost you nothing.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about a day that cost you nothing.

Ok, let me tell you about a very interesting topic which is a day that cost
me nothing. This day actually was when I went with my family to
London. I remember the very first time I went to London I was impressed
by the beautiful parks. Parks in London are so clean and spacious and you
find treadmills and it's almost like an open gym.

So anyone can play sports in the gym and what makes the parks in
London amazing is the greenery and the beautiful landscape. So the last
time I went to London was last summer and when I went with my family,
we decided that one day we need to spend the time in the park. So we
took our food and we took our boiler to make cups of tea for the family
members and surprisingly we enjoyed every moment.

I think what made the whole experience very enjoyable is that it was of
charge so we didn't pay a penny and this is for me unbelievable because
the problem in Egypt is that if you ever intend to go out, for an outing
with your friends or family then you must have at least a couple of
hundred pounds or maybe five hundred pounds to enjoy your time. But
what is beautiful about many countries in the west and for me London is
that, you can go out spend your leisure time with your family and loved
ones without paying anything.

The best thing about our trip to London is that there are kids areas in
every park. So, kids in the family did enjoy their time as well. So
everybody was happy and most importantly we didn't spend a penny!

Thank you.

Dr. Muhammad Khalil Mussa (002) 0100 019 0890 Page 9 of 71 www.englivision.com
010 a photo you still have.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

Talk about picture that you have and it's got very good memories.

Well, let me tell you about something very personal which is a photo that
I took with my family many years ago and that photo was taken on my
birthday. I remember by that time I turned seventeen and I was at high
school by that time and thank god I was about to move from high school
to the university so my family was so proud of me.

They decided to give a birthday party and celebrate my graduation from

the school. I still have all the pictures of this event. I remember there is
one photo of myself with my father, mother, my brothers and my sisters.
What aches my heart is that all of them now are away from me because
my brother has got married and living abroad. My sister has got married
and living with her husband abroad as well. My father passed away and
my mother lives with her own.

So whenever I just look at this picture I recall all the memories. I recall
all the beautiful memories of my family and the togetherness that we
enjoyed together. Additionally, although this event was long time ago you
will be surprised if I tell you that I still fell the happiness and I still go
through the same feeling of ecstasy!.

The moment I check the photos of this event and you know what now I'm
a grown up with sons and daughters and whenever they ask me about the
family, I just show them this photo of myself with my family on the
birthday.

Sometimes I feel down in the dumps because I just feel nostalgic for the
good old days that's all for now. That's why I consider my family as the
backbone in any body's life.

011 A law that was issued in your country

Hello.

I would like to talk to you about a tough topic which is a law that was
issued recently.

Actually, in my country Egypt there are so many laws but unfortunately

not all of them are respected. If I have to talk about one of them then I'll
definitely talk about the law of putting on the seat belt while driving the
cars. This law was issued about five years ago and many people didn't
respond to that law and unfortunately many youngsters till now do not try
to buckle up their seat belts.

This is why I read an article a week ago in one of the magazines that sixty
percent (60%) of youngsters who have car accidents were found not
putting on their seat belts. That's why I believe it's highly recommended
that governments must take strict majors to implement this law.

Additionally, I believe that if we want better safety conditions for the

people then, there must be media campaigns. These campaigns can be
done by celebrities or public figures. I believe that every change should
start from the school. So, I believe that teachers should advocate this law
by telling the children that when you go on and got into the car of your
father and mother make sure that you put on the seat belt.

So despite the fact that this law is implemented all over the world it's not
very much respected in Egypt. I guess if we want better health and safety
majors for the drivers and less rates of accidents then this law must be
implemented.

Thank you very much

012 Lesson not from university.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic is : Talk about something that you have learned not from
school or university.

Well, let me talk to you about a personal thing that I've learned from a
movie. Many people think that the only education you can receive is
through schools, universities or teachers. But for me some movies can be
turning points in my life and the moral values I get to know from these
movies are really important. One of those movies is the Pursuit of
Happiness and this movie has taught me the power of positive thinking.

In other words whenever you want something, you have to work hard and
believe in yourself. The whole movie has got a certain message which is,
the moment you feel down always be hopeful for a better future and work
hard to make your dreams come true. I'll never ever forget the words
uttered by the hero. Will Smith to his little boy when he told him "When
you have a dream, protect it and go get it. Period"

As a matter of fact, this quote has affected me a lot in my personal life

and my work. Because many years ago I went through many hardships at
work. Some of my managers criticized me a lot to the extent that I lost
my self confidence. But after watching this movie I learned that things
will be better but you must have a dream.

It's important for everybody to have a vision of what he or she wants to

do in the future. This is something I've learned not from schools,
universities but simply from a movie that I once watched with my friends.

Thank you.

013 A country you would like to live or work at.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about a city or a country where you'd like to
live or work at.

Well, let me tell you about one of my personal dreams and it's the dream
of moving to the UK (or) England.

Actually, I can say that England has always been a dream for many
people because the country provides many services to people of different
ages and different ethnic backgrounds. For example: if you go to London
you will find many parks where children can enjoy their time.

Additionally, in London, there are many hospitals that provide excellent

health services for the senior citizens and the elderly. As a matter of fact,
I've chosen England as a dream destination because I believe that in the
UK you will not suffer from ethnic discrimination.

In other words, one of my relatives has traveled to other countries like the
US (America) and over there he really suffered from segregation because
of his Arab background. But my relatives and my friends in the UK have
never reported any incident of racial discrimination to me.

Finally, I always follow up with news, political, economic and even

cultural news about the UK through their famous British Broadcasting
Corporation which is known as the BBC.

Finally, I can say that I'm in love with the British accent and I've always
been fond of British singers or boy bands like the Beatles. So I can say
that the UK has shaped a lot of my academic personality and that's why
England is the country that I'd like to travel to, and maybe stay there for
good with my family.

Thank you.

014 A situation when I had to be polite.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

Well, let me talk to you about a situation when I had to be polite and
patient and that situation was just a month ago when I was interviewed
for a new job. As a matter of fact after the economic recession in my
country I had to go through many interviews and some of them were
really provocative.

As far as I recall someone asked me, one of the interviewers asked me if

it's possible to travel and keep traveling without paying me the fees and
the fares of the transportation. Of course, I had to say yes, I'm ready to
work even if I don't get paid for the transportation because I desperately
needed the job. But surprisingly during that interview the interviewer told
me that I'm not saying the truth because the normal situation and the
normal reaction would be yes, I want transportation allowance.

So, I was actually rejected after that, I remained quiet and I decided to be
polite and be careful with every word I say. That's why I was rejected
after that in another interview because someone told me that I'm not
spontaneous and I have to be natural to be accepted at work.

So, I decided to be myself after taking that decision you know what? I got
the job and I'm working now in the field of marketing. To tell the truth
after working in the field of marketing and sales I found out that I have to
remain polite and patient with all customers and with everybody and
sometimes I lost it!. But I have to control my nerves because if my
manager finds out that I'm short tempered he may fire me. So, that's why
I have to keep polite and patient in my work and I will not let anybody
drive me crazy because I have to work a double shift to make ends meet
and to protect my work.

That's why I still remember that situation during the interview when I had
to keep patient and polite.

Thank you.

015 A successful businessman.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about a successful business person.

Well, let me tell you today about the story of a very successful
businessman in my family and he is actually my uncle Ahmad and he's a
business tycoon. He owns lots of things, he's got his own factory in the
field of cloth and fashion and actually what makes him very successful is
his amazing management skill.

As a matter of fact, he started from the scratch because he came from a

very poor family but he had a dream and he was able to make his dream
come true. He started with his friends and they got together and actually I
believe that they've become successful because they had a vision. In
addition, his story is very inspiring to many young people and of course
to me as well. Because I believe that if someone lives without a vision
then, he'll never be successful in his life.

For me, life is a number of obstacles and this is what my uncle the
famous business has told me and he's always told me that that life is full
of obstacles and if you're not strong enough with a vision. Then, you don't
have a mission in your life.

Finally, I look up to my uncle not only as a businessman but a successful

person in his family life because he is always keen on spending time with
his beloved family and this is the true meaning of success to me. It's
important to strike a balance between your business life and your family.

Thank you.

016 A popular person Mohamed Salah.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about a popular person in your country.

Well, let me talk to you about an interesting topic which is a popular

person in my country. In fact, there is so many famous people in my
country but if I have to talk about one then I'll definitely talk about
Mohamed Salah.

Mohamed Salah is a famous football player and he is currently playing in

Liverpool UK and actually he scored many goals in the premier league in
the UK and I consider him a very influential public figure not only in
Egypt but also in the Arab world. For example, he has recently helped in
launching a campaign against drug trafficking and drug dealing.

So, surprisingly the moment he participated in a media campaign against

drugs many drug addicts especially youngsters have called Anti-Drug
agencies and they've tried their best to find different ways to quit
addiction.

Moreover, I can see that many people look up to Mohamed Salah because
despite the fact that he is quite famous, he's still humble and he gets along
with everyone around the world and sometimes he goes back to his
countryside to his small village in Egypt and he mingles with everyone.

Sometimes people are surprised! How come he is so famous and he deals

in a very modest way with everybody. That's why we all consider him a
celebrity and a role model for many youngsters.

Thank you.

017 An embarrassing situation

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about an embarrassing situation that

happened to you.

Well, let me tell you about an embarrassing situation that I had many
years ago with my friends and that was when we went to pizza hut which
is a very famous pizzeria around the world. Actually, we were together
enjoying out dinner and all of a sudden all my friends decided to leave
and insisted on treating them all by paying of the bill but the moment that
the bill came to me I found out that I forgot my wallet at home!.The
problem was that my friends left me so I was on my own.

Unfortunately the battery of the mobile phone was dead so I couldn't even
ring them up to rescue me from this embarrassing situation. Of course,
later on I had a big discussion with the manager and he thought that I'm
trying not to pay the bill but I asked him to use the telephone and I called
my parents who sent one of my brothers to me and he paid off the bill.

To tell you the truth it was a very embarrassing situation because I

thought that I would spend all night at the restaurant cleaning dishes
instead of paying the bill. I know that this is a moment to remember all
my life. The funny thing is that when I returned home and I charged my
mobile I called up my friends and they all cracked up and laughed and
actually the bad news is that I didn't forget the wallet at home but one of
my friends took it from me. It was simply an embarrassing situation that
happened to me because of my funny friends. That's all.

Thank you.

018 Someone who dresses well.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Describe someone you know who dresses well.

Well, let me talk to you about an interesting topic which is about a person
who dresses quite well and this person is my manger Dr. Iman Gouda.

Dr. Iman is a middle-aged woman who is quite successful at work. she

works at an international company so she meets foreigners, VIP and big
shots on a daily basis. That's why she always has to look trendy and to
keep up with the latest fashion.

Actually, we're all impressed by her elegance and how she takes a lot of
pride in her appearance. I remember that in one of the meetings, we
expressed our admiration for her appearance and she gave us the secret to
her elegance by saying that she doesn't care much about brands but she
cares about colors.

In other words whenever she wants to meet someone in the morning she
is always keen on putting on something that's bright in color, for example
something yellowish or whitish. Because this inspires positive energy in
the meeting so, she's got her own philosophy in fashion.

Finally, I can simply say that most of the time we feel that her clothes are
just off the pig and for me she is an icon of a manager who cares about
her appearance.

But unfortunately, she also cares about the essence of her nature because
she is genuinely good. So if she cares a lot about her outer appearance she
is still beautiful inside and that's why we all look up to her as an ideal
manager.

Thank you.

019 A song from your country.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about a song from your country.

Well, In country Egypt there are so many beautiful songs but if I have to
talk about one of the classics then I will definitely choose a song entitled:
my country is so beautiful or (Helwa Y Baladi) in Arabic.

The singer is Dalida who is quite famous and she passed away 20 years
ago and despite the fact that she lived most of her life in her country
France.

She still had nostalgic feelings for her childhood days in Cairo, Egypt.
That's why she decided to sing that song to describe the beauty of Egypt
and how kind-hearted the Egyptian people are.

One of the main reasons why I like this song is that my late father used
to listen to that song and that's why in my leisure time whenever I just
feel nostalgic for the past days.

I listen to this song and recall the good old days. Additionally, the song
has a catchy tune and the music is a mixture of the oriental and the
western styles of music and that's why the song is a smash hit.

That's why everybody in Egypt knows this song and they still listen to
this song till now. Because it is a reflection of the beauty of Egypt and
Egyptian people and sometimes if I get upset I just listen to Dalida and
you will be surprised as I just feel on cloud nine.

Because I feel that I relive the past days when I was a child with no
concerns and with my family around me listening to this song.

Thank you.

020 A wrong decision.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic is: Talk about a decision that you have taken and you
regretted it.

Well, let me talk to you about one of the wrong decisions that I've taken
and unfortunately, they are so many. But I think the worst decision is
going to the company where I'm currently working. This is because of the
very stressful work environment that we have at this company and despite
the fact that we get good salaries and it's an international company we all
suffer from our manager.

The major problem is that we all signed a two year contract and we
cannot resign and even if we resign we have to pay a lot of money for
breaching the contract.

Additionally, what makes things very bad is the style of the management
we have at the company. Because there is a lot of micromanagement by
micromanagement, I mean that the manager likes to control and observe
every little detail in every task we do.

Of course, I can honestly tell you that this work has got a negative effect
on my family life because I return home so tired and I don't even have
time to talk to my beloved ones my and beloved family.

So, it's really pathetic and that's why I'm planning to quit this job as soon
as possible because it has taken a toll on my health and my family time.
That's why I keep advising everyone not to be impressed by the brands
and not to be impressed by the big names of companies because what
matters the most is the work environment.

Thank you.

021 A possession I keep.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about one of the possession that you still
keep.

Ok, let me talk to you about my watch which I keep since my last
birthday party. It's not only important for me to keep track of time, but it
always a reminder of the importance of the principle of punctuality.

In other words, as you know in the first world and many civilized
countries people appreciate the value of the time and punctuality to me is
one of the characteristics of professional people.

That's why my elder brother brought me this watch as a gift.

Additionally, this watch reminds me of the warm feeling I went through
during my birthday party when I had all my family with me and he's
surprised me with this watch.

Finally, I can say that whenever I go to any meeting I just make sure that
I have this watch with me because to me, time management is quit
important at work as well.

So, if I want to give a presentation I have this watch in front of me and

whenever I attend anything, I've got to watch my watch so I keep it
because I appreciate the element of time. I keep it to remind myself of the
happy moments I had with my family.

So, it's not only a possession for me it's more than that and it's very
important for everybody to transcend and go beyond every possession he
or she has and look beyond it and look at the moral values of the
memories that those possessions may have.

Thank you.

022 A party that you recently attended the wedding.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Describe a party that you recently attended.

Well, let me talk to you today about an interesting topic which is a party
that I attended. It was the wedding party of my cousin Ahmed who got
married to his beloved Jasmin after a long story.

As a matter of fact my family and I insisted on attending this party

because we knew about the hardships that Ahmed and Jasmin went
together to get married.

They firstly came to know each other during the university days and then
after graduation they found a good job. Later on, they saved some money
to buy flat furniture. So, we consider the wedding party the culmination
of a successful love story.

That’s why everybody was touched by every moment in that party and
when they cut the cake together we celebrated, sang with them and
danced as well. It was a happy moment and an unforgettable party.

Nowadays they enjoy happy life together and whenever we just feel like
we want to recall happy moments we just put on the CD of their wedding
party and we watch the party once again on the computer or on the TV.
We just recall those happy moments.

So, that's why I think that this wedding party is the one that I remember
the most nowadays and I'll always say that. In spite of the happiness that
was there, many of us were in tears because we were so happy for the
beloved couple.

Thank you.

023 A place where people go to listen to music.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Describe a place where people go to listen to

music.

Well, let me talk to you today about an interesting topic which is a place
where people go to listen to some music. As a matter of fact in Egypt we
really appreciate art especially music.

That's why we have Cairo Opera House which is located in downtown

Cairo. What is interesting about Cairo Opera House is that it was built
many years ago and it provides a variety of styles of music.

So, if you go to the Opera in Egypt you can enjoy Jazz music, pop music
and definitely oriental music. As far as I recall I went there only once
with my friends and I really enjoyed a concert by the famous Egyptian
musician Omar Khairat.

Moreover, despite the fact that the tickets are quite expensive in the
Opera it's usually populated and crowded with many attendees from
different nationalities.

So, I remember when I went to the Opera I found Americans, Brits and
even Russians attending the opera, attending concerts and enjoying the
variety of music perform there.

The very first impression you will take about the place is that, there is a
sense of art and elegance as well. In other words, you feel that Egyptians
appreciate art.

That's why at every corner of the Opera you will find a musician
performing a different kind of music and that's why I'm planning to go to
the opera once again during the summer vacation to enjoy the artistic
moment of attending a musical concert.

Thank you.

024 A favourite dish

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about your favorite dish.

Well, I'm the kind of a person who's so much into food and is so fund of
international cuisines. But let me talk to you today about pizza my
favorite dish and I really love pizza for many reasons.

First, it's affordable and you can simply buy a lot of pizza for fifty or
sixty pounds.

Second reason is that there is a variety in the taste of pizza. Because of

the different toppings you can have on the pizza itself. So you can order
vegetable pizza, meat pizza or chicken pizza.

The third reason that it's internationally popular dish and you can find it
wherever you go around the world. I've heard that historically speaking
pizza started thousands of years ago among the Roman soldiers who used
to have slices of bread and put tomatoes and onions on the bread.

This is why it called pizza because it came from pizzia which means
pieces of bread. Interestingly the very first pizza in history was named
after Queen Margareta and the pizza is called Pizza Margerita which is a
kind of combination of cheese, olive and tomatoes so, anyway it's my
favorite dish.

That's why I've read a lot about the history of this dish. Whenever I travel
anywhere in the world I'll just order pizza.

I've (heard) I've read an article that pizza is the most popular dish around
the world especially among Americans who've got more than thousand
pizzerias only in New York!. That's why it's popular and I really like it
very much.

Thank you.

025 A car journey to Alexandria.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about a car journey.

Well, let me tell you about one of the beautiful memories that I had with
my family and that was a trip that I took to Alexandria.

We've been there by car and thanks god our car is big and all the family
member were there because we have KIA Sportage which is an SUV car.

Despite the fact that Alexandria is a three hours drive from Cairo we
managed to kill the time by listening to songs and I remember that we all
sang together and we had quality time.

Later on in the middle of our way between Cairo and Alexandria there
was a rest house which is located halfway. This place provides coffee, tea
and meals as well maybe snacks to be more accurate for people who
travel.

That’s why we stood there and we bought some snacks before we proceed
to Alexandria. Unfortunately, towards the end of the trip we felt so tired
and that's why I remember that all of us felled asleep except my elder
brother because he was driving anyway.

But you know what I still remember every moment that we had together
by the car and thank god we arrived safely.

Then we enjoyed every day in Alexandria which is a city by the

Mediterranean. You know what in the city itself we moved around by the
car. We went to Bibliotheca Alexandria (Alexandria Bibliotheca) and we
went to different cafes by car. So, I believe the car was very useful in this
trip.

Thank you very much.

026 Bags.

Hello everyone.

I'd like to take to you about bags.

Bags are very important in modern life because they are part of
everyone's past, present and future. In other words when I was a kid when
I used to go to schools I had my school bag with me. I remember that I
had kind of trendy and funky bags with Spiderman or Barbie girl on the
cover of the bag.

Those were memorable days because I remember that every day I used to
have my bag on my back. Now in the present when I go to my work I
have to put all my documents in very formal and classical bags.

Sometimes I miss my old school bag but the only bag that fits the
business world is the square leather bag that I bought a month ago and
actually, it was highly recommended by my colleagues and fortunately
(not) unfortunately, it is not a brand but at the end of the day, it does thr
job required.

I guess in the future I plan to travel a lot and when I travel I will take a
different kind of bags, the luggage and the baggage. I always like to
travel light but I still need bags in my life.

In the future when I travel I'll make sure I have a small bag with me to
put little things that I will need during my trip and I will take my luggage
with me as well. I'll always make sure there is always a bag with me.

Finally, till now I keep my school bag because it reminds me of the good
old memories of the school days.

Thank you.

027 The closest person in my family.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

Let me talk to you about the closest person to me in my family.

As a matter of fact, I come from a big family but if I have to talk about
the closest person to my heart. Then I'll definitely talk about my brother
and his is Amr and he lives in Canada.

Actually, he doesn't live here in Cairo and although he lives far away we
keep in touch together. Despite the fact that he lives abroad he insists on
calling everyday and there are so many reasons why I like him.

First, he stands by me whenever I need something. For example, last

week when I was so upset when I was down in the dumps he called me up
on the phone and supported me.

Second reason, he is always a good friend. So whenever I feel stressed I

speak my mind with him and that's why I consider him second to none.

One last thing I just need to say that I've got so many memories with my
brother Amr. But the best memory ever is graduation day from my
university when he joined the party and he was so happy with me.

Unfortunately there is only one thing I don't like about him that he is very
short tempered. In other words, sometimes he gets stressed easily because
of the little things.

In spite of being so stressed and stressful everybody likes him and

everybody looks up to my brother as a role model for many young
people. Because he started from the scratch and now he is a successful
man.

Thank you.

Dr. Muhammad Khalil Mussa (002) 0100 019 0890 Page 27 of 71 www.englivision.com
028 A place to spend free time.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Describe a place you like to go to in your leisure
time.

Well, let me talk to you today about one of my favorite places where I
spend my free time. As a matter of fact, I work around the clock and I
rarely find some time to spend with my family but usually over weekends
I take them to the sports club next to my house.

The sports club is spacious and it's got lots of sports facilities like
walking tracks and Gym and a huge Gym actually.

So, whenever I just need to chill out with my family we go to this club
and sometimes we have lunch there as well. When I put on some weight I
go there to the Gym to play sport and put off some weight.

Most importantly I guess that club provides me with a chance to meet

new people and socialize like last week I went to the club and I met an
old friend from the good old days, he was a school colleague. When we
decided to meet we choose the club as a place together.

Finally, I actually encourage my kids to go there, and they usually play

indoor squash and sometimes they go to the tennis court.

Finally, sometimes I enjoy listening to some people talking about the

latest news about politics and economic problems in my country.

So actually, I guess that the club does not provide an opportunity for
people to play but it's a good opportunity as well and it provides a good
chance for people to socialize, get together and enjoy some warm talk.

Thank you.

Dr. Muhammad Khalil Mussa (002) 0100 019 0890 Page 28 of 71 www.englivision.com
029 Something keeps you focused in work.

Hello everybody.

Let me tell you about something that keeps me focused during work and
it's definitely coffee and all the derivatives of coffee like Nescafe,
Cappuccino and Espresso,

To tell you the truth I'm addicted to coffee and whenever I go to work in
the early morning I just go to the kitchen (or) the kitchenette at wok an I
prepare myself a cup of coffee.

You know what right after taking my coffee I just feel I'm hundred
percent (100%) ready to hit the work. So, I've always been so much into
coffee since school days.

You will be surprised if I tell you that when I was at high school it was
coffee that kept me awake for days and nights because I had lots of things
to study and i couldn’t manage my time.

Later when I joined the university I found that Nescafe was the key to
success in my academic life. Now I'm working around the clock and to
keep myself busy I've got to drink coffee every day.

According to an article I've recently read in one of the scientific

magazines I know that I'm taking to much coffee and according to this
article this dosage of the dose of the coffee can keep you alert and can
cause some problems to the heart may evenly to hyper pressure or
hypertension. But I'm trying my best to control my craving for coffee.

Thank you.

030 A change in your life.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about a change in your life.

Well, let me talk to you about a personal topic which is a change that
happened in my life. As a matter of fact like everybody else I've gone
through many changes in my life and the most important change was the
moment I finished my university life that was a turning point in my life.

For several reasons the first reason is that this period marked the
beginning of my career life because right after my graduation I joined a
big company where I started my job.

Second reason is that this change brought happiness to my family

especially to my father who was so proud of me. It's always been a dream
for him to finish my university and to start my career and become
independent.

Despite the fact that my university years was so tough and I went through
many hardships I learned a lot from my university education and this is
why I consider this stage in my life a turning point where I gained a lot of
interpersonal skills as well academic knowledge .

Most importantly is that whenever I recall this change I just feel over the
moon because I'm now what I'm because of those days.

Thank you.

031 An important mail I received lately.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Describe an important email that you have
received lately.

Well, email or electronic mail is the modern and quick way to send a
message. This is a very useful gift of technology and I'd like to talk to
you about a much waited email that I got recently and the mail was from
the British Council.

I had booked the date for my IELTS exam and the date for my exam was
approaching near with each passing day.

I was waiting eagerly for the email so that I would like to know the
various details, the venue, the time, the date and the result as well.

My other friend who had booked the date of the exam with me got the
email but I didn't, this made me a bit nervous.

At the same time, I had full faith in the working of the British Council
and I was sure that the email would arrive well in time.

Finally, when only five days were left for the exam, I received the email;
I felt over the moon and so relieved to see this email in my mailbox.

So, the email is very important to me because the whole exam of IELTS
is a turning point in my life.

I came to know more about the IELTS exam and I even received it by
email some samples exams with model answers as well.

So this explains why this email was of utmost importance for me and
that's why I still remember this moment of receiving it in my inbox.

Thank you.

032 A happy situation.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about a happy situation in your life.

Well, let me talk to you about a personal situation and a personal topic
which is a happy moment in my life.

Fortunately, there are so many happy moments in my life but If I have to

talk about one of them, I'll definitely talk about graduation day from my
faculty.

As a matter of fact, I graduated from faculty of Arts in 1998 and it was a

big day, not only for my family but also for my friends. As far as I recall
we all got together, celebrated together we even went out afterwards to a
café.

What I remember the most on that day is that my (late) father was so
happy and whenever I remember this moment I just feel over the moon
because I managed to make him happy.

One more thing I need to add that despite the fact that I went through so
many hardships throughout the university days.

On that day of my graduation believe me, I forgot all those hardships and
only the happy feeling and the togetherness of my family and friends
around us helped me….. helped me to forget all those hardships.

Now I can only recall this moment with a smile on my face.

Thank you.

Dr. Muhammad Khalil Mussa (002) 0100 019 0890 Page 32 of 71 www.englivision.com
033 Talk about a dream.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about a dream.

What was that dream? When did you dream this? How did that
affect you? And what you dream about?

The student said: Well, let me talk to you about a very personal but
strange topic which is a dream that I saw in my sleep.

As a matter of fact, I don't remember my dreams and I don't dream a lot

maybe once in a blue moon and even If I dream of anything I usually
forget.

But for example a couple of days ago, I had a dream of having this exam
because I was dreaming about this situation and this is natural, but to me
a dreamer is a day dreamer.

In other words if you want to dream, you can dream when you are awake
in the morning, you dream for a better future.

This is what matters for me. It's not about the dream that you see while
you are a sleep, it's about the dream of a better future.

That's why doctor called me I'm a dreamer because I've visions and plans
for my future.

Like, next week next year I'm planning to travel to another country to get
MA and one day I can be a ministry of health.

I know that's a dream, but I'm sure it may come true because I believe in
the power of dreams. So to me a dream reflexes your ambitions not
simply something which you see when you sleep.

Thank you

034 Favorite season .

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: What is your favorite season?

If I talk about my favorite season then it's the summer. Because to me the
summer means freedom and this is so much associated with my summer
vacation from my school duties and academic year when I was a child.

Second reason is that in the summer people have more time for family
gatherings and I can meet up with my friends in the evening.

Most importantly is that in the summer people go to the beach and I

usually take my family to the north coast in the summer.

So, I consider the summer my favorite season because for me it's time for
fun, entertainment and warm feelings with my family.

However one of the major problems that I face in the summer is the hot
weather. Sometimes I feel so hot to the extent that I sometimes feel
feverish and the worst thing about the summer sometimes that I catch the
summer cold or the summer flu which is a pain in the neck.

Moreover in the summer I have a totally different daily routine. In other

words, I wake up at ten I don't wake up at six o'clock as I usually do
during the winter because I work as a teacher. So most of the year I wake
up early to go to my classes but in the summer a little bit late at ten AM.

I try my best to stay up late in the evening to enjoy a quality movie or

quality time with my friends or family. So to wrap up I can say that the
summer is my favorite season in the whole year.

Thank you

035 About documentary – turning point.

Hello.

By documentaries I mean those educational videos about historical

moments or historical events like the first and the second world wars. I do
enjoy watching documentaries about medicine about disease about how
to keep fit and all the health issues.

Sometimes when I'm on my own at home, I just watch one of the

documentaries. You know because the kids find the documentaries very
boring.

If I talk about a turning point in my life I think the turning point in my in

my life was when I met one of my teachers and he was quite supportive
he was very supportive.

He taught me so many lessons in life, so he was not only a teacher he was

also a role model for me.

Despite the difference in age between the teacher and myself he was
twenty-five years older than me but he was able to get along with
everybody in the classroom including myself.

That was actually something genius and something memorable that I

cannot forget.

One thing I learned from him is that it's very important to spread
knowledge.

Thank you.

036 Shopping mall.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about your favourite shopping mall.

Well, let me talk to you about an interesting topic which is my favorite

shopping mall. As a matter of fact, I'm so much into shopping and some
of my friends know quite well that I'm a shopaholic.

So I'm always crazy about brands so whenever I want to go shopping I

simply go to Cairo festival city which is located in New Cairo.

It's a huge mall and I can tell you simply that evening go there I find
whenever I want, there are so many shops for brands, clothes even cafes
and by the way, there is also an amazing food court.

So if I want to take my family out I take them to Cairo Festival City as

well. One more thing l'd like to add is that Cairo Festival City provides
lots of discounts and offers especially on costumers goods such as
Microwaves, cookers and fridges.

So that's why I go there every now and then and whenever I'd like to have
quality time with family I just take them to Cairo Festival City and we
chill out together and enjoy our time.

So Cairo festival City is the best option and whenever we are there we
just feel on cloud nine.

037 A time when you bought something for someone.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Describe a time when you bought something for
someone.

Well, I'd like to tell you about the time about four years ago when my
wife and I bought a computer for our daughter.

She was about to go to the university and we have promised her, we

would treat her to one at that time there has been a big advertising
campaign for the latest Apple MacBook. Our daughter was very keen to
have one, she kept telling us, those MacBook Computers were value for
money even though they seem very expensive to us.

Anyway we tried to shop around to see if we could pick up a bargain and

that was in the middle of the summer sales and wherever you went, prices
were being slashed on big brand names but unfortunately not Apple
products. We ended up having to pay the full price.

I remember my daughter justifying the cost by pointing out how nice the
carrier bag was but it was lovely just to see her so excited. Honestly the
customer service that she has received during the four years has been
excellent. So, after all, it was value for money. That's it.

038 Traditional object.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

I need to talk to you about a traditional object from your country.

Well, let me talk to you about a traditional object in my country. As a

matter of fact, I'm Egypt there are so many objects which are of great use
to the people but if I have to talk about a certain object it can be Ramadan
Lantern.

Actually, Ramadan Lantern is a traditional object that dates back to the

history of the Fatimids and many people buy lanterns especially in the
holy month of Ramadan because to us the lantern has become a symbol
and an icon of the good old days of the Ramadan and the family
gathering.

This is why even if a person is poor he can still afford to buy a lantern.
Despite the fact that there are so many lanterns across Egypt, we insist on
buying the traditional old one because those lanterns remind us of the
good days with the grandparents.

For example last Ramadan I decided to buy a lantern for my kids and
they really enjoyed the colorful lights coming out from the lantern.

Surprisingly nowadays in Egypt, there are so many lanterns that are Made
in China but the beautiful ones are those which are made in some
governorates like Summit or even in the countryside.

Finally, if I talk about the lantern then I have got to remember childhood
days because in the good old days with my father I remember the very
first time he bought me a lantern. I went down the streets; I simply sang
old songs of Ramadan. That's why I can say that Ramadan Lantern is so
much associated with our memories in the holy month of Ramadan and
associated with memories with our parents and grandparents.

Thanks you very much.

039 Talk about weekend- your flat.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

I usually spend the weekend with my mother who is an old lady and she
needs someone to look after here and that's why I usually spend the
weekend with her.

To tell the truth I really fell over the moon when I spend quality time
with my family. I live in flat and it's two bedrooms flat.

OK. Although my wife is not very happy with the space of the flat I still
like it very much because I've got very good memories with every part of
that flat like there is the musical corner whenever I feel stressed I just go
to this corner near to the cassette and I just tune in and listen to the Radio
and relax.

One last thing I'd like to add that I've got a number of hobbies but the one
I love practicing the most is watching TV especially romantic comedy
movies and that's my favorite genre

For your information, I've got my own library of movies. So I've got all
the classics and the modern movies all the romantic comedies and I really
I also like the documentaries.

Thanks you.

040 Talk about an advertisement.
Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about an advertisement.

Well, let me talk to you about an interesting topic which is an

advertisement that I have recently watched.

As a matter of fact, I'm so passionate about media and advertisement and

there's so many advertisements that I have recently watched on TV but if
I have to talk about one then I'll definitely out for the advertisement of
hospital 75 3 75.

I like this advertisement for several reasons the first is that all the medical
staff at the hospital trying to help in alleviating the suffering of Chicago
suffer from cancer and this I think is a noble mission.

Second reason, I also appreciate the fact there are so many celebrities that
contribute in this project to cheer up the children during their crisis. For
example according to the advertisements many celebrities like Ahmed
Helmy, Mona Zaki and Ahmed El- Sakka paid a visit to the hospital and
they went to the children and even played with them.

Although, this may seem to many people so something simple, to me it's

something huge because those children and their families are really
afflicted by this ordeal and this problem and this is why it's very
important for both individuals and the society to help those children.

The first time I saw this movie sorry, the first time I saw this
advertisement was about three years ago when I saw it with my children.
I really fell down in the dumps but at the same time, I felt so appreciative
to god and I prayed to god that he would protect my children.

So this was of an advertisement that I saw and whenever I see and

whenever I see this advertisement I just simply pray for the children and
their families.

Thanks you very much.

041 A change I'd like to see in my country.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

And it's called a change I'd like to see in my country.

Well, let me discuss with you a very important and pivotal topic which is
a change I'd like to see in my country. As a matter of fact, there are so
many changes that we need to implement and see in our country but if I
have to talk about a specific one then I'll definitely talk about a better
educational system.

This is because I believe that education is the key to the development of

any nation. So I'd like to see the government and decision makers keen on
improving the educational system and the curriculum at schools.

In other words school should provide extracurricular activities to involve

all students and raise their awareness about the global concerns and issues
by doing so, the government and the country will be preparing future
generations that have a better understanding of the requirements of the
future challenges.

Moreover, education to me means better economic and political

conditions. In other words, a well educated person would definitely out
for democracy and a well-educated person would also go for a better
health system.

A better education means a better doctor, a better teacher and a better

accountant and by doing so, we'll have professionals in every job and
eventually, our country will get better. So, this is the change I'd like to see
in the present if we want to enjoy a better future.

Thanks you.

So I was always there next to him and despite the fact that I was quite
busy during that time with my work and family commitments I had every
moment for him

046 Favorite website.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Describe your favorite website.

Well, let me talk to you about a website. A website that I use most of the
time which is facebook

Facebook is a social media platform that has become very popular

nowadays especially among youngsters and I use it almost on a daily
basis and because I like to stay connected with my friends, colleagues and
with my teachers (or) professors from school (or) university days.

So whenever we want to hold an event together we cream an event

through social media or through Facebook. So I consider that Facebook
now has become very important also for work not just for social
purposes.

In other words, when it comes to work you can market for your product
and you can market for any franchise through social media.

So, that's why I consider that social media has become a major element in
your personal and in your business life. However, maybe the only
negative thing about social media that it's time-consuming.

Personally L, I spend hours and hours on social media and I'm always
online 24/7 and that's Of course, provokes....and this provokes my family
and my friends. So, whenever I go out with them I check my facebook
page, likes, comments and notifications.

That is not good I know that's why I consider Facebook my favorite

website but I've got to be cautious with how to use it.

Thank you

047 A punctual person.

Hello.

The topic I'd like to talk about today would be a punctual person that
I know.

Actually, at the top off my head if o talk about this person I would simply
mention my uncle because he is a very punctual person and he always
sticks to his meetings to his appointments he has with his friends. Family
and definitely his business.

I recall that one day my grandma was telling me something about him
back in good old days he had to work all the way through his university
because there were not very stable financially, so he had to study hard to
gain the score or the grad that he was asking for.

After that when I started to be a mature person I started to watch what he

is doing and actually he is my role model. I started to watch what he was
doing the first thing that I notice he is really punctual in terms of
business, meetings and in terms of going early to his work.

Because I've noticed that if he's going to be in his work at 8 o'clock. He

is a busy bee and he works around the clock by meaning around the clock
I really mean around the clock

I recall that I was spending the night with them, with his family and he as
well and he was setting the alarm for the next day to wake up.

As a matter of fact, the normal day that he has to wake up the normal
time that he wakes up would be six in the morning. He wakes up early he
takes his coffee, prays and then goes to his work.

I remember that he always sets clock before the arrival time by like three
hours, so he can get one hour for Lind of relaxation and self-relief. Start
to take his coffee and goes to his work. My own perspective, it is a
professional thing because the more you are ready, self-relieved not

Dr. Muhammad Khalil Mussa (002) 0100 019 0890 Page 47 of 71 www.englivision.com
stressed about going to work and the more you are punctual the more you
can start up your work happily I'm a comfort way.

In addition to that, I remember one day his wife was telling me something
it was an event related to his son and he had to show up to this event at a
specific time he was in a hurry....

He had to drive all the way and he was really tired but anyways under all
these circumstances he didn't miss his son's event, his son's graduation
and he had to attend in the time and actually, he was there at that time.

I was really admired about that punctuation. To sum up in a nutshell for

me being a punctual person is a quite essential thing because it embodies
your appearance and your reality and how you..

You know, how you care for others and how you care for your business
and how you care that everything goes in the right track. That is
something that really matters for everyone.

The last thing that I'd like to mention that I believe that the more that you
are a punctual person the more that you can utilize your job and your
work on the right way and the more you are respected and gaining
confidence. When you're doing something because you are sure you
presented this thing in a nice perfect efficient way.

Thank you.

Dr. Muhammad Khalil Mussa (002) 0100 019 0890 Page 48 of 71 www.englivision.com
048 a time saved money, credit, cards, Bitcoins.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

The topic today is: Talk about a time you saved money and bought
something.

Well, today I'd like to talk to you about an interesting a personal topic
which is the time I saves money and I bought something.

As a matter of fact, this happened many years ago back in time in 1999,
by that time I was a graduate from Cairo University, Faculty of Arts
department of English language and literature and I was preparing myself
for marriage and actually, I worked around the clock and I made a lot of
money through private lessons and tutoring.

So that I can manage to buy a flat and finally in 2000, after many many
hours of hard work. I finally saved some money and I bought a flat in
Duqqi which is located at the downtown Cairo. But unfortunately, I found
out later on that Duqqi flat is surrounded by many facilities but the
problem was the traffic congestion and pollution, as a result, I later on
sold the flat and I made good money and I invested the money after that
by buying a car.

This is because I earned a hundred thousand pounds more from selling

that flat and that was something that I invested my money in and I
managed to save some money to buy something which turned out to be an
investment later on.

Do you think people in the future will use credit cards or cash
money?

Well, personally I believe that credit cards and debit cards are much safer
than having cash in your wallet because nowadays with the economic

Dr. Muhammad Khalil Mussa (002) 0100 019 0890 Page 49 of 71 www.englivision.com
recession nothing is safe and there are many cases of people being robbed
in the streets even during daytime so much much safer to walk with your
credit cards in your wallet

Well, this depends on the person himself. Some people like to take risks
so they can invest money in business but other people prefer to save their
money in Banks and to make money out of interest rate from banks. So
they can secure a steady income on monthly basis.

So, actually I cannot hundred percent assume hoe people can save money
because it depends on the nature of the person himself and his financial
and economic points of view.

Well, eventually in the long turn or maybe in the longtime people will
change the way they use money. They will depend maybe Bitcoins.
Maybe they will depend on electronic transfers and they will not have
cash as we do nowadays

Thank you.

049 A mathematical equation from the school days.
Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

Let me talk to you about one of my memories from the school days.

As a matter of fact although I was a good student and a hard working

student. I was not into math because it was very challenging to me but
you know what studied lots of math equations like additions, subtraction
and of course the multiplication table.

But the equation I remember the most of course is the multiplication

table because I believe that every child in my country has suffered a lot to
memorize the multiplication table.

As far as I recall my late father spent hours and hours trying to help me to
memorize the multiplication but unfortunately what I remember from the
multiplication table is just 1*1 and 2*2 . The funny thing is that
nowadays whenever I go to any market whenever I go shopping I feel
that I have to remember the multiplication table and of course, my
memory doesn't help me but you know what thank god.

We've got a calculator now that can help me whenever I'm stuck I just
turn on my mobile phone and do the whole calculation. One last thing I'd
like to add is that although I suffered a lot when I was a kid I'm trying my
best nowadays to make the multiplication table easy for my children and
easy for my younger brother and sister .

That's why I'm trying my best to teach the multiplication table through
songs and youtube channels. Unfortunately, when I was a kid I didn't
have this luxury and I didn't have all these facilities but still you know
what every generation has its own opportunity and thank god I have my
father and now they have Youtube. That's it that's what I can say when I
talk about a Mathematical equation.

Thank you.

050 An occasion when I invited people.

Hello.

This is Dr. Muhammad Khalil Moussa.

I'd like to talk to you today about an occasion when I invited people
to your home.

Let me talk to you today about a very interesting topic which is an

occasion when I invited people to my place. As a matter of fact, there are
so many situations when I invited my friends and colleagues to my home,
but if I have to recall a certain event than it was my last birthday.

Actually, that was only three months ago and I decided to send an
invitation through Facebook to my friends, colleagues and even family
members and it was a big day I really felt over the moon when I had
everyone around me and on that day I recall everybody brought me gifts.

That's why I felt so happy that I had my beloved friends, family and
colleagues around me along with gifts. As far as I recall one of the gifts
was a mobile which I'm currently using. So whenever I use that mobile
phone, I remember this event.

In addition, the thing that I like the most about especially this birthday is
that, all of us friends, family and colleagues got together and each one
introduced himself and herself to the other.

So I really enjoyed the feeling to togetherness that I brought everyone in

my world together and surprisingly after my birthday, my cousin got
engaged to one of my friends and that was by coincidence of course.
What I'm planning to do is that every birthday I'll bring my people
together.

Dr. Muhammad Khalil Mussa (002) 0100 019 0890 Page 52 of 71 www.englivision.com
However, the only thing that I didn't like about the birthday is that it was
time-consuming because I remember we stayed from six pm till twelve
midnight.

So that, of course it was a waste time and I remember that we stayed very
late and I had to wake up early next day so I went to my work very tired
but you know what Ce la vie ( that's life).

If you want something you have to bear up the consequences. Anyway, to

wrap up things and to cut the long story short the most memorable event
that I still recall was my birthday when I turned 35 years old. I knew I felt
so happy to have everyone around me at home.

Thank you.
