(A) Introduction
It has been two years into the Covid-19 era, the world as we know has changed drastically,
stumbling into survival mode as it tries to adjust to the new realities. People are learning to cope
with rapid changes that can be disruptive and confusing. They are constantly faced by health
scares, financial pressures and domestic challenges. The companies have been crushed by
instability and workers are in stressful conditions in such a situation.

(B) Challenges
Here are few challenges faced by the organization in the new normal and how organizational
behavior (OB) helped to tackle these problems-

● Remote-work culture
Many organizations and offices adopted the work-from-home formula as the new norm in post-
covid workplace practices. It is a flexible working style and a sustainable approach to work
with benefits to the whole work environment and society. Employees could work easily, with a
possible clear mind, and comfort to adapt and acclimate to this new work environment. The
change process was flawless to enable accurate understanding and analysis of best practices
for future practices.
● Employee interaction and communication
When employees work from home, they can feel disconnected from their organizations. To
increase the frequency of communication, many organizations have instituted daily or weekly
updates from the CEO and made them accessible to all employees in real time.Employees
appreciated leaders who explained their decisions and clarified the rationale behind those
choices.Group leaders are encouraged to make motivational and inspiring videos to increase
visibility and connection to mission.
● Provide support for physical and mental health
The most effective step to battle isolation was regular check-ins by managers to see how their
employees are doing personally and professionally.Virtual social activities, such as lunch and
learns, coffee breaks, online exercise classes, and happy hours, were also frequently
mentioned as ways companies can help employees overcome social isolation.
● Help distributed employees stay productive and engaged
Allowing employees to work from home increased the productivity of patent examiners by 4%
and call center employees by 13%.Daily team huddles helped them remain focused and
engaged while working remotely.Measuring organizational behavior can help with preventive
conflict resolution by identifying where and why your employees are having issues with fellow
teammates and management.Behavioral dynamics can help you understand the cause of a
problem and predict its course.
● Generate the original feeling of oneness with the organization
Recharging employees by giving them paid holidays to refreshen and come with a renewed
mindset. Encouraging games-day with employees and their families online. Introducing new
tools and techniques for greater fun and flexibility. It increases self-discipline and productivity,
less boredom, and reduced procrastination.

(C) Conclusion
The organizations need to ensure continuous connection with employees, identifying and
recognizing their efforts, providing adequate tools and support, realigning the individual goals
with organizational goals and keeping employees energized and motivated to help them to work
with renewed interest.New normal is here to stay and will bring new challenges and
opportunities. Organizations around the world are experimenting with organizational
management practices to manage the transition to a more distributed workforce.Ultimately OB
helps to increase efficiency and productivity. This may lead to an increase in the profit of the
organization.
