How to Change the Port Rate of the SLNO Board on the

OSN 1800V
Highlighted

Hello everyone!

This post will explain how to solve the failure to create cross-link because the port rate of the
SLNO board in SDH Mode cannot be changed on OSN 1800V.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

When SDH/PDH service convergence is configured on the SLNO board, the logical end board

has only STM-1 logical ports, and the port rate cannot be adjusted.

Ports 1 to 8 STM-1 timeslots on the SLNO board in slot 3 are converged to ports 1 STM-4 on

the SLNO board in slot 5. When creating VC-4 cross-connections, it is found that port 1 on
the SLNO board in slot 5 has only one timeslot, but STM-4 should have 4 timeslots. Also, the port
rate of the SLNO board in SDH Mode cannot be changed.

There is also no access to modify the port rate and mode.

SOLUTION

1. Delete the logical port of the SLNO board.

2. Add the port again and then modify port rate to STM-4.

ROOT CAUSE
After an SLNO logical board is added, the default port rate of the board is STM-1. If we need to
modify it, delete the default logical port, add the SLNO logical board again and change the port
rate to the specified port rate.
