Copper Box Arena Venue Guide

In partnership with
INTRODUCTION
The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Copper Box Arena
hosted Handball and Modern Pentathlon Fencing during
the Olympic Games, and Goalball during the Paralympic
Games.
Located in the west of the Park close to Hackney Wick
Station, the venue will be one of the first to open to the
public following its transformation from Games mode,
and is designed to be a flexible and versatile modern
sporting facility.
The venue will be available for the whole community, and
due to its flexible design will be able to host a variety of
different sports. There are already court markings within
the multi purpose sports hall for Badminton, Basketball,
Handball, Netball and Volleyball.
There will also be a modern and state of the art 80–100
station Gym and Studio delivering a comprehensive
range of fitness sessions and group exercise classes.
Venue specification
We are currently developing a fun and exciting
community programme which will include: Arena floor dimensions

Alongside this, we are also discussing with a number
