Abstract:

Wind energy is harnessed using many ways in the current century. This project deals with the innovative
concept of harnessing the wind energy for the purpose of electricity generation and water purification
systems. The figure below shows the working principle of this project

This project involves fabrication of a vertical axis wind mill which will rotate using the wind energy. This
energy is fed directly to the pump using the drive train which pumps the impure water from the tank.
The impure water is fed to the water purification system which purifies the impure water into potable
water using the process of reverse osmosis.

The other part of the drive train is also incorporated with a generator which generates the electrical
energy and stores it into the storage system to be used when required.
