SLT Calculation
 Student Learning Time (SLT)
Step 1: identify the total SLT for your course.
One credit is equivalent to 40 hour credit
If your course has 2 credit hours, the total SLT is 2 x 40 = 80 hours

3credit hours x 40 = 120 SLT

Step 2: Identify the weightage of each CLO
Total marks for CLO assessment method = weightage%

Total marks for CLO

Example CLO1:

 Step 3: identify the total SLT for each CLO

To calculate SLT for each CLO = (Weightage/100)*Total SLT

3credit hours x 40 = 120 h

or
2credit hours x 40 = 80 h

Example CLO1:

For CLO1 = (10/100)*120 (credit hour) = 12 hours

Total Learning & assessment for CLO1 = 12 hours

activities under CLO1.

Tips =
1. Calculate SLT for each CLO
2. Determine time of assessment detail (e.i; test=1h)
3. Determine time for Teaching & Learning = CLO SLT
- time of assessment
4. After Determined time for Teaching &
Learning; distribute the time

F2F is (14*3)= 42 for 3 credit hours
teaching (or (14*2)=28 hours for 2
credit hours teaching).
