any students with technology issues and make
sure everyone made it to the right
website/app.

7. The teacher will then show the students how

to make a free account on Visme.

have an account, the teacher will show them
how to start their timeline. Students will click
“Create New” on the left hand side, go to
“Project” and then to “Infographic”.

11. The teacher will show the class their own

main events like Roosevelt freezing supplies to
Japan, the Lend Lease Act of 1941, USS Greer
and USS Reuben James, and Pearl Harbor, and
the U.S. joining the war, one picture for each
event, month, day and year of event, and a
short description of the event.

12. The teacher will then show students how to

submit the assignment. Before submission,
they must change the title of their timelines. It
should be named “World War 2 Timeline
Student Name”. Then, they will click the blue
“Share” at the top right corner of the page, go
to “Share Privately”, and copy the link.

13. Students will submit the assignment by

pasting the link in the assignment drop box on
Canvas/Schoology/Google Classroom.

their own pictures, dates, descriptions and
customizable design options to create their

Pictures must also be cited. Citations can be
included within the timeline or at the end.

16. The teacher will monitor and walk around the

classroom for students that have questions.

17. When students are finished, they may work on

other class assignments or read
independently.
18. Once the class is finished creating their
timelines, the teacher will offer to show
timelines the class has created on the
smartboard to students who want to share.

19. If students do not finish in time to share or by

the end of class, they may finish their timeline
at home by the next class.
